The hotel where I stay is the Hawthorne Suites in Fogelsville. It is about 10 miles north of Macungie off route 100. I think there is a B&B in Macungie but no hotels within about a 10 mile radius. As FWD posted, there will be a new thread on the Macungie show later this year or early next year. But mark your calendar for 2016 Father's Day weekend (Friday and Saturday).

Although the weather outside was cold and damp, there were some that drove their trucks for all to see - thank you. I guess the final count was around 40. I am not faulting anyone for not bringing their truck and I must admit I did not drive the MH. But you "short time visitors", did you stop inside Gerhart's shop and talk to other BMT members? Many of us were there from Thursday afternoon thru Saturday. I very much enjoyed the show and the inclimate weather allowed us ample time to sit and talk "trucks". One of the best parts of any show is to meet and talk with other BMT members and truck owners. The weather allowed me time to see old friends and make new friends. The Friday night meal was an excellent opportunity to "sit around and talk trucks". So if you came to Gerhart's to "just look at trucks" or "no show" because of the weather, you missed the best part of the show - the people. As for the weather, if you were cold...did you check the forecast and "dress appropriately". Thanks to Doug and his crew for another GREAT event. Thanks also to Roger Gerhart for being a gracious host and allowing us to utilize his shop and property for this event. It was a success in my book even though the weather did not cooperate.

I been watching the weather forecast....rain, rain, and more rain thru Monday. I decided not to drive the MH/trailer to the show. I will still try to attend the show but will drive my HHR or D150 instead. Gerhart's can get "soupy" when it is wet. Rain may also put the damper on my visit to Carlisle Fall Swap Meet on Wednesday. But look on the bright side....it is not SNOW. Signed...wishing for 70 degrees and sunny for Thursday thru Saturday.

I am almost certain it is my old truck. When I sold it, it had an 18' flat bed. Did you get a cereal number?

Tom, Good to see you on Friday afternoon. Thanks for posting pics from Winchester, over 250 vehicles by Saturday afternoon. fxfymn and I were the only BMT members (that I know of) with trucks at the show. MHfred chickened out and did not bring his MH (because of rain in the forecast). However it did not rain, overcast but no rain. BTW, I think I saw the same girl running past the fairgrounds when I left around 3pm this afternoon (Saturday).

Just checked to forecast. Rain late Friday night into Saturday. I will check the forecast on Thursday morning and decide if I am going to drive the MH.

Murf, Trucks start arriving as early as 8a (some earlier). Most vendors open around 9a. Perhaps Doug will chime in and tell us the "official" schedule.

JT, Thanks for the pics. Like the farm tractors. My MH would look out of place there...too much shiny chrome. Too bad about the General...get out and PRACTICE!

Dodge V6 (3.9L) is the same basic engine as the V8 318 (5.2L). Same idea as the GM 4.3L V6 (same basic engine as 5.7L 350 V8). The first 3.9L engines were not a powerhouse (I don't think any were) and being a 4WD probably not too fuel efficient.

The "rough idle" could be a money pit. Could be something simple or complex especially with electronic and emissions controls. I am in agreement with Dirtymilkman....$1000, $1500 tops especially with 190K miles. Hmmm...I wonder what my late dad's 1990 D150 2WD Club Cab with 360V8 and 35K original miles is worth???
