  1. MH no longer listed on Fenton's site. Anyone here buy it?
  2. Barry, Received my calendar today. Very Nice!!! Heavy paper and lots of good lookin' trucks! I like the layout.. 3 trucks each month.. not just 1. A must buy for any "trucknut"!
  3. Larry, Thanks for the offer. If it were in OH or even at the PA farm but it is about 1hr15mins one way. It takes all day just to do/check one small thing.
  4. Thanks for the offer but not dragging it out and transporting to OH. I hooked up a portable gasoline tank and small 4psi transfer pump. It hydraulic locked (with gasoline) and when I pulled the spark plugs to clear the cylinders I got a face full of gasoline. If it is not worth much it can go to the salvage yard with the rest of the RV. Likely all the gasoline is now in the crankcase. I "screwed" with it long enough and just seems to be one thing after another. I don't need any more "sinking" fund projects.
  5. I recently bought a 1977 motor home that sat for about seven (7) years and plans were to remove the generator to use on my trailer. Long story short the generator needs the carburetor rebuilt/replaced and a new/rebuilt electric fuel transfer pump. The START/STOP switch does not work. I replaced some corroded wires/connectors but still cannot get it to work. It does however have spark (replaced condenser). Rather than spend more time (and money) on it, I am going to offer it for sale. I will eventually post on CL and fleaBay. The generator is still in the motor home and will need to be removed. It is located near Centre Hall, PA. If anyone is interested, send me a PM. Here are the generator specs and pics. Make: Onan Model: 4.0 BF-2CR/16000B Voltage: 120/240 Amps: 33/16
  6. Congrats Carl (and your wife) on being expecting grandparents. How are things in Charleston? Wifey and I are planning to spend a few days there November 2-4. We are staying at the Residence Inn in North Charleston with plans to visit Drayton Hall and downtown/Market.
  7. I would use the same weight gear oil in both axles. Why two (2) different weights?
  8. So that is what Ron looks like with a low cut top and without the cap!
  9. Been thinking about Mark too. Hope all is well.
  10. Tom, Nice pics but I do not see a "Lane Steel" truck.
  11. The cam lift and duration controls the pressure and length of "squirt". The amount of fuel is metered by the scroll on the individual injection pumps which is controlled by the governor. The pump is timed for the start of injection so the fuel combusts at the correct interval.
  12. Larry, I was thinking of Perry Diesel. Contact Barry @ Watt. He might have a suggestion. I don't think Cross Truck does pumps but might be worth a call. There is a shop in Akron (on Arlington south of 224) that does pumps. I will try to find their contact information. UPDATE: Yes R&R Engine & Machine on Swartz. Surprised they are not able to reset. Perhaps someone can supply a part number.
  13. A hight amp alternator should okay as long as they match. I recently replaced my 100amp Remy with a Remy 140amp. Bigger is okay but again, make sure the mounting and terminals are the same. I am no expert but just going on my experience. Good luck!
  14. My offer for the MH Rescue truck was turned down. They are going to use Fenton Fire Equipment to market the truck. Good luck to whom ever buys it. BTW, Christmas is in a couple months. So if anyone is looking for a present to buy me.....this could be it.
  15. Yes, Marcel's truck....very nice! Who else's truck is on the calendar?
  16. Leslie, If you want to take a road trip to NE, let me know. We would have to do it soon before the wwwwwhite stuff flies. My November schedule is open.
  17. My saying is "you need to know where you are going before you take a trip if you are going to use a GPS". I use it to monitor speed, direction, elevation, distance, general directions, and upcoming streets, exits, and turns. I do not have a "trucker" version but I use the GPS in the MH to track distance and speed to compare to the odometer/speedometer.
  18. Yes, looking at the pic one can see it was likely a pickup. The "bed" is cutoff behind the cab. I think it would be nice to see in person...a mini semi.
  19. Yes. Checked dealers and PDC = nothing. That is why I am looking for a used one. If it were available from Mack I would already have one (or two). I contacted the manufacturer of each lamp and NOTHING.
  20. Hey BC, Sorry for not giving you credit for the pic. I had these in my files and don't remember who sent/posted them. I will take either one, early or later style, just as long as it is in excellent condition. Thanks!
  21. Larry, Check with your "fuel pump shop". They should have tubing and ability to bend to match.
  22. Still on the hunt for an excellent condition center headliner mounted combination dome/reading lamp for my MH. This lamp is mounted in the headliner of Level III and Level IV interiors. This is not the lamp that is mounted above and at the bottom of the driver's and passenger's doors. The early style (used in 83-91) is 22MO349 (aluminum base) and the later style (used in 92-93) is 22MO4234M2 (black plastic base). There is another version of the later style (22MO4234M) that was installed in Roadway CHs. The "Roadway" lamp can be modified (connector change) to work.
  23. Saw this in the recent edition of East Ohio Auto & RV magazine. No connection just thought it is an interesting vehicle. http://www.autorv.com/browse.aspx?AdName=CEMI3155017
  24. Switch to red long life coolant and remove the conditioning filter.
