  1. It looks like the Spindle is bent where it is attached to the axle housing I have seen them bent before the older ductile iron housings had a replaceable spindle press fit with a retaining bolt on the back of the housing but all of the others are welded it can be repaired or replace the housing.
  2. Just got a message from the local ATHS that the truck show in Cherokee tomorrow just got moved to 1501 Acquoni Road Cherokee for what ever reason
  3. Thanks for the truck driver point of view on these things some of us who have never driven do not know these interesting things about trucking if you work on the sidelines its hard to imagine how it all works as a mechanic its not always easy to figure out the drivers point of view

  5. I only remember them as part of the econodyne series especially the 440 hp dont know of any maxidyne E9 but its possible the higher hpE9 was classified differently and then renault took over

  7. I was lucky enough to see the Mack finished and it is excellent I think I have an Extra turbo for that 335 if you need one, dam things are getting hard to find fast
  8. Also Check the ground connections between the battery and frame also coming off the engine the point where the wire end connector is crimped on to the wire as well a little corrosion between the wire and end connector hard to see but problematic

Glad to see you back on again this is a 65B755 with factory shepherd power steering box you’re steering column looks good for the mod if you need measurements or specs for the sector shaft length I can get that the frame mod is not good but you can fix that I will try to get some more pictures from a B model that was converted to a 711 may help a bit
  10. Watt's has the 40 and 50 gallon square tanks B mod. type and the brass caps
  11. The most common pilot bearing is the 6306 you will find letter codes added to the number mostly for the shield or type of seal should be readily available
  12. Adjustable drag link between the pitman arm and the spindle and tie rod ends first place to look then go to the steering box

  14. Like all older equipment within an inch of the filler neck is considered full always depends on the depth of the top tank
  15. Those tanks are super nice and I could use them for sure but my knee surgery is next week so i will check with you when I can walk again
  16. The radiator cap needs to be replaced every couple of years and that should help with that problem
  17. that is very unusual definitely never seen any pyro in any other place than about 2 or 3 inches after the turbo on any cummins or mack and detroit with the exception for the 864 v8 no turbo 2 pyros at the exhaust manifolds

A few years ago I had a C30 with a 454 and 4 speed always had a lean issue it had a holly electronic adjustable throttle body the control was mounted under the dash like a CB you could adjust it while driving but even on max fuel setting it still had the problem take the air cleaner off I could actually see large amounts of fuel being sprayed down the throttle I switched to high quality non ethanol fuel and that helped a lot never did find any other problems and ran pretty good that way
