  1. Endt675 and endt676 are both maxidyne engines, 237hp and 283-287 respectively. EM6 is a maxidyne E6, but the E6-350 is not a maxidyne. The maxidynes have a massive power band, making at least 90% peak torque from 1100-1200 rpms all the way to the governor. This allowed them to run less gears in the transmissions, and earn a hell of a reputation.
  2. The ENGINE mount got replaced by the chassis mount which is still used today. Early 80s did away with the engine mount. Endt676 motor is the precursor to the E6. They use pretty much the same exact block, but the E6 is a 4 valve per cylinder whereas the endt676 is a 2 valve per cylinder. Endt676 peaked at 283-287 hp whereas the E6 does 300-350 hp.
  3. Do you mean the one that requires two air filters in one housing like this R model is plumbed? This is an endt676 285hp maxidyne, 1979. It has the engine mounted charge air cooler if that's what you are asking about. Turbo air is sucked through that lower intake tube on the housing. Some compressed turbo air spills over to to run a Tip Turbine that sucks air through the upper filter tube, and that air blows across the engine mounted charge air cooler. I may have mixed up which housing.tube goes to which function. One is intake air, other is tip turbine, which after it goes through the charge air cooler is just vented into the engine compartment. They did away with this charge air cooler in the early 80s I believe, and went to the Chassis Mounted Charge Air Cooler, which is just an intercooler mounted in front of the radiator. My E7-350 has the chassis mount cooler. Engine fan and vehicle speed do all the work instead of having a tip turbine. Atmosphere air hits the intercooler, then the radiator on modern setups.
  4. Hartzels village on park Ave. That's our complex. Live there, run our business out of there. Rent what we don't use to other businesses. If you know anyone that needs truck or contractor storage space let me know!
  5. If air ride tandems had two big crossover lines, one on each side front to rear, I think that would allow much faster articulation than their current design. But it's been a while since I've looked at airbags, I doubt they have big enough ports to move enough air fast enough. Basically the crossover lines would let each side maintain the same psi in each bag but would allow the volume to pass back and forth as terrain demands. Just like a Camelback.
  6. How many yards is that? In PA they haul about 65 yards of mulch on a tandem axle walking floor trailer.
  7. PS the Prince valves make a lot of heat! https://m.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200414715_200414715?cm_mmc=Google-pla&utm_source=Google_PLA&utm_medium=Hydraulics > Hydraulic Valves > Adjustable Flow Valves&utm_campaign=Prince&utm_content=2040&&gclid=CjwKCAjw6vvoBRBtEiwAZq-T1UYfKxiWZ2hbKNNrfHABqpZkn1eFlH6aUi9dx9HnIVO8fqe43Vz-BhoCVgEQAvD_BwE
  8. Coilovers are going to want to return to center. We use Prince valves to control the speed of some hydraulics on our volumetric concrete trucks. They get used on snow plow spreaders commonly to control spinner speeds. Honestly it sounds to me like you just need to adjust the pressure relief valve, hopefully your system already has one. Power steering systems should be set around 700 psi.
  9. Nah this is just Chalfont Doylestown and New Britain. Small local parade. I didn't see a superliner.
  10. Was hoping I'd see an old Mack in the parade this year, glad my hometown has one!
  11. Add a stabilizing shock from tie rod to axle like solid front axle pickup trucks use sometimes?
  12. Sounds like an old Jeep Wrangler. Short wheelbase with power steering you can roll one over real easy if you aren't careful. Modern Jeeps have a progressive power steering that keeps them from being overly sensitive at higher speeds. Not sure how they work.
  13. He had a hissy fit and signed an executive order that Trump overturned. Unicorn rockets are legal.
  14. Whhaaaaat?? Not around my town. I run a 15 mile (20-25 max) radius in central Bucks County in Pennsylvania. There's only a handful of roads in the area with 55mph speed limits, and I'm never on the PA turnpike. PA triaxles gross at 73280 unless you're pulling a trailer then you're at 80k. I was more so thinking site work dump trucking not highway paving...
  15. So of the transmissions mentioned here what is the best one (or your favorite) for local triaxle dump truck type work? The T310M looks like it matches an 8LL except for multiple reverses.
  16. If The Big Six from Macungie goes missing I didn't steal it and Dan doesn't have it for 3D replication!
  17. What's more risky is letting a greenhorn know where the keys are to a truck that nice!!!
  18. Not your ordinary hippy, that's a pro-USA rocket Mack-retro hippy van!
  19. Japan woke us up. Yes what they did was a bruiser, but if they didn't then there's no telling what Hitler would have done with what remained in Europe. I'm no history buff at all, but since WWII has Japan ever picked a side against us in a war? My grandpa was on his way to the Pacific when the war ended, thank goodness. Some things I will never spend money on: gambling/lottery tickets. Was stuck behind a guy at a gas station years ago for about 15 minutes while he decided what scratch offs to literally spend half his paycheck on. (It was a Friday) May as well piss on your hard earned money and give it back to your boss.
  20. Is that rear cab mount crossover bar factory? Never seen that type of bar before.
  21. Shame to part out such a good looking truck, but I know the parts will get used to make other trucks look as good or better!
  22. So on the econovance E7 the injection advance runs from 5* to 28*, depending on emissions and specific engine characteristics. How exactly are the vmac1&2 injections done? Are they PLN with the econovance that acts like a points&condensor spark advancer? Anything electronic about the pump and injectors other than the econovance?
  23. I'll take your B over that Autocar any day of the week! Never drove a B, but their look is growing on me!
  24. Just kidding.
