  1. What ever happened to the rumored new mack side loader waste truck. Is that the side loader they are sending to the waste expo. Didn't they have one before. All the sideloaders I see in Ct are Petes, Acars and I believe CCC.
  2. An interesting question might be which Mack construction fleets have gone Paccar. And what fleets stayed Mack or are going back to Mack. Here in Ct Paccar has gained alot of ground. I get the impression that the switch in the midwest has been less severe. I guess the west is Paccar dominant.
  3. And we probably export our natural resources for free since we owe so much money to China for debt. I would not doubt that China owns great portions of our natural resources and the politicians don't inform us of such.
  4. Always the week after Macungie so Sunday June 22nd. Bethlehem is the week before Macungie and is Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th Like This . 5. Seems like Cat could seel to Cat, Paccar or Navistar Maybee Volvo. Not Mack Shaker or wesern star. Why not ford pick ups and mediums or GMC's. A litle kitty in a ferd pickum up would be sweet. Might send Fiat/Dodge packing.
  6. Those Granite axle backs and pinnacle axle backs can be reeeel uuugllee or reeel sweet. Just depends on how you dress them.
  7. Those Jimmies were odd looking ducks definately unique. Little bit of Cannonball, little bit of GM pickup etc.
  8. Is it just me or does the B model sleeper look like they took the back end of an H model and grafted her onto the B's. Someone on here thought the H model cabs were built by Mack. Like some of the guys say on here if you really want it get it. Don't negotiate to hard just hard enough so that it doesn't disappear on you.
  9. Controller at distribution development- Sounds like he is in a position to make sure Mack never outsells Volvo.
  10. I think Mack was a little late to the dance with the lightweight cruiseliners. Paccar and freightliner were already on the next generation of lightweights when the cruiseliners came out. The MH would have kicked butt but then the bottom fell out for cab overs.
  11. Identical comes to mind except for software programming & valve covers.
  12. Are those the Soneco's that ended up at Tilcon. I guess they were the last Mack's purchased b y Tilcon.
  13. Great Cardi shots. Keep them coming. I believe they still run a lot of old iron.
  14. Wow to bad they were painted red Overnite paint scheme was one of the best. I wonder why the CH's never caught on with overnite. I remember seeing one test rig that was real sharp
  15. Heading down I95 in CT today I saw 3 ford long nose coventional dumps. White cabs and gray boxes. I wonder who they were for.
  16. Just making more room for those Japaneese and europeon rail car manufacturers.
  17. Vinny if only they moved the cab off to the side on the Super liners.
  18. The flathead whites were great sounding engines
  19. Vlad: Roadway had a ton of detroits in U-Models I believe both V-8's and V-6' The cab had to be raised because the detoit V's were not 90 degree V's like the cummins 903's. I believe they were abot 60 degrees making there profile higher. Couple this with the supercharger on top of the engine thus you needed a higher cab. I believe the Mack and Cummins V-8's would fit in the standard U-model such as used by St. Johnsbury and watkins.
  20. I just saw an add for dogs that like to pea indoors. Its an absorbant pad with a bulls eye on it and its called the pea terminator. Jus sayin cause young dogs have accidents. Good luck with Petey
  21. last I knew the Tilcon Branford Quarry still had one of those v8 DM 800's. still see dome of there high DM 's with the steel noses working for second life contractors. I wonder how many of these models they had.
