  1. Actually if you look at the L cab it looks very similar to the H model cab. Probably because they both came from Orville body works. If you look at the A model cab it is very similar to the White coup cab again probably from Orville body works. If you look at the Ford Bud cab it is very similar to the F model cab around the window area. I think the F models were built in house at Mack. It looks like Mack modified the Budd cab or N cab and made the F model cab. The F model and R model cabs are similar around the window area. The R model being much smaller. The R model was built by Schiller Globe but may have been a Mack design.
  2. If you look at the Sudebaker cab and the B model cab they are very similar. When they first came out, some used to call them Studebaker Macks.
  3. I think 87 was the start of the galvanized cabs.
  4. Its in the blood.
  5. I hope Volvo reads these posts. Not likely.
  6. 41 chev are those Macks custom made or Dehan models?
  7. Severino is running a lot of Granite AF and AB up near dover along with Peterbilt tri axle trailers. I believe the Granites have Allisons. Was up to NH over the weekend and Severinos Granites and RD's are crawling all over Dover like ants. I believe they have about 20 dual axle dumps. The Peterbilt tractors may be in jeopardy as I saw a new Western Star pulling a tri axle dump trailer. Also they have a nice old axle forward A car converted to a water truck. Mack is missing out on the big power CH that could be pulling those tri axle trailers. Mack still seems to be pretty strong in Eastern Mass and NH.
  8. Seems like they are trying to bump Mack out of regional/bulk haul.
  9. That is a great idea Bobby J. I wonder if any body at the museum has seen these drawings.
  10. Galvanized cab to boot.
  11. Good looking truck for sure. Is this available in the US and Canada?
  12. Western star and KW have the heavy haul/off road market all to themselves. Granite should be renamed sandstone.
  13. Another example of Volvo keeping Mack on a short leash.
  14. How could they have come out with the original cherry picker when they had this in their stable.
  15. That B61 sounds like my four legged dog Bailey. He makes the rounds also.
  16. I wonder how the Granite axle back compares with the RB as far as maneuvering.
  17. I see that white Granite in Ct I 95 from time to time. I recognize that blue logo.
  18. Notice the resemblance between the L and H cabs.
  19. Red Horse- I remember a loose leaf binder truck data book that was about 5 by 8 inches I believe it was maroon in color It listed each truck manufacturer and all of the specs and options. I think this was back in the seventies. There might be one on ebay if you knew what to call it.
  20. No wonder Volvo keeps Mack around. What will Volvo do if Mack overtakes them?
  21. Was that Abalene a Mack.
  22. TJC-I guess that means I should get another 300,000 miles out of my 7.3. A lot of people say that when they add Howe's they notice a quieter idle.
  23. I mix Diesel Kleen and Howes. I have never had a fuel problem. Don't forget now that the fuel price is down by approx. 1/2 you need to add more additive as you are getting more fuel per dollar.
