  1. Now beef up the frames and rears and we may have the beginnings of heavy haul. Mack is like the sloth/tortoise of trucks. Moving in the right direction but much to slowly. They will get to where the other makers have been but by that time the others will have moved on.
  2. Kind of like the integral sleeper as it balances out the hood. Kind of old school White. I guess they still own the rights to White. That grill has got to go. Not a fan of the head lights either.
  3. Would be nice if someone would make B-61's in 1/64 to go along with FG short tub dump trailers
  4. Just as ugly as the previous Volvo if not a little more so. Hopefully the new Mack will look better than this pos. The only good looking Volvo is the VHD IMHO.
  5. Mack C model reborn.
  6. Old castle makes more sense. Old Europe money.
  7. I would think these would sell like hotcakes at truck shows such as Matts Macungie etc.
  8. I would think these would sell like hot cakes at truck shows.
  9. Could have made this a tilt hood to compete with the U model.
  10. Yard full of the 4 legged type.
  11. Tilcon is owned by New Castle from Ireland.
  12. That's an IH moose.
  13. Heh-Heh-HehHeh-Heh Sorry teamstergrrrl for calling you teamstergirl. I guess my aging eyes are playing tricks.
  14. Free prints are nice but you should be paid for this art work. These are fantastic.
  15. Go Cummins.Yes GE bought Cooper Bessemer design. I believe there are still a number of Cooper Bessemer Engines used as emergency power at Nuclear plants. It would have been nice to hear the QSK95 in the promo instead of that dumb ass guitar. Teamstergirl- There is nothing wrong with Siemens. Its just that Europe has a habit of taking over American Companies. Siemens bought all of the Westinghouse power plant business except for Nuclear(Toshiba owns that). Westinghouse ended up being a broadcast company with such offerings as Bevis and Butthead. Westinghouse a power plant giant and powerful American Company morphed into Beavis and Butthead. I believe Toshiba wants to sell Westinghouse Nuclear to a Korean Company .Siemens automated all of the Coast Guard Academy's HVAC systems where I worked . DDC systems worked fine.
  16. First gear replicas made a 1/34 celli Mack but there hard to find. They also make a 1/64 R model with a silver short dump trailer like the Celli used. There are seven verticalside ribs that can accommodate letter stencils such as Celli-Sunrise-Meyer-Tewes-Funk-Dundee etc. There are several tractor colors available. They also have a fallen flag series which includes Smith Transfer-Mushroom-PIE-McClean-APA-North Penn. I think there are about 16 different fallen flags. These R models also fit well with Winross/PEM and DCP trailers.
  17. Tesla definitely has the deep pockets to buy Mack!
  18. The Cummins powered locomotive concept is a two edged sword. Great for Cummins but it may be bad for the American locomotive industry by letting Siemens into the market. They have made strong inroads into the power plant equipment business and the process control industry. Look what Europe has done to our trucking industry.
  19. Might be worth a road trip up to Torrington.
  20. Yes a book for sure. Does the Cement Transport Company still use the Celli logo?
  21. Can't kill those UPS CH's. Are the Visions all gone.
  22. Would be nice to revive 9261 but I'm sure it would be a budget issue.
  23. Cummins and Eaton are being squeezed out the market by the vertical integrators like Daimler-Volvo-Scania-Paccar-Fiat and Navistar/Volkswagon) (Notice the dominant Euro connection). Mack was at one time the chief of the vertical integrators. That's why Cummins and Eaton should buy Mack and offer an outlet for their products. Mack was a large Eaton partner until Volvo came along. Mack made numerous L models with Cummins diesels and offered Cummins right up to the CL model. Now they only offer baby Cummins in the MHD and Cummins gas pots. Cummins/Eaton/Deere/Cat/Hendrickson and Oskosh have the dealer network to pry Mack away from Volvo. If Trumps infrastructure replace dreams come true there would be plenty of opportunities for American owned Mack Truck. If an American company bought and unleashed Mack I believe Volvo would disappear from American roadways and Diamler would loose market share. Paccar would still be around as they seem to have a way of surviving.
  24. Nice ride. Built in Macungie to boot.
