  1. Its on the back of the injector pump. U should cover the hole. When you release your brakes air is sent to the puffer and it pushes out a little pecker that keeps the rack from opening. As boost pressure builds in your intake that builds pressure in the reversing relay which then allows the puffer to back off more and more. I always just took the puffer off, applied shop air to it and cut off the pecker on it.
  2. The puff limiter is located on the injection pump. It's about 3 inches long, cylindrical shaped with a air line screwed on the end of it. The puffer is screwed into the injection pump horizontally at the end of the injector rack. If you unscrew the air line and cap it off and then unscrew the puffer out of the injection pump. This will allow the injector rack open all the way when you drive without having to wait for boost to build.
  3. Wow. How do I get a grant for milk trucks?
  4. The 465 is a great motor. Not a power house but reliable. The resale isn't real good on those vhd's. Guys told me the cab is to big that it feels cumbersome. Everything else is just vendor parts so it's all in how it was cared for.
  5. Sounds like the reversing relay on the intake or the puff limiter is bad.
  6. 7spd extended range? If I remember there's like 1000 rpm drop between gears. We used to have one with a 300 4v and always ran 85,000 pounds. Gotta let her lug though
  7. I know.....especially since they're trying to pass it off as cutting edge and all theirs
  8. Or check on the newer macks. When I ordered my titan you could get slider
  9. Did you try swapping the Jake relays around in the dash? You could have a bad relay?
  10. I've seen 3 in Mn. They were all "gifts".
  11. I have a 1996 that has had a jumper wire on for 4 years.
  12. Its not a rip off. Its used under license.
  13. Pete and Kenny are using the same cabs now too on the newer model numbers
  14. Run a jumper wire from one to the other. You'll be on high all the time.
  15. Oh wow......not a very attractive heavy haul truck. Just my opinion.
  16. That is gonna be an awesome truck! Did all of those have the same size bunk?
  17. What about Arden's H model?
  18. I'd love to pick that guys brain and see what he did for front springs and hangers. The hood would be simple, just extend a set forward hood
  19. For the motor vibration check and make sure all of your fan blades are attached. That'll give a hell of a vibration.
  20. Valueliners were the light weight trucks. Aluminum bellhousing, hubs, air tanks, fuel tanks etc. Frame you could get either way. We had a '81 valueliner and a '82 R model spec'd identical, the valueliner was over 1000 pounds lighter. They also had the Hayward grille.
  21. Replace the sensor. Also verify the oil temp with a IR thermometer. Lot of times the gauges or sensors are off. What year is it? It may not have the updated oil cooler.
  22. The little bastards are going in with gas masks.......
  23. Im running 3.5 rears and the Mack/Hendrickson 46,000 air ride but I'm in a totally different type of vocation. But my tractor I have the same air ride except its 40,000
