Navistar should not have tried to get the epa to say scr was no good. Navistar said that trucks can still run without DEF fluid in them. They can run without it, except they can only go 5 mph. They KNEW their product was shitty, trucks wouldn't even make it to the dealers from the factory without being towed in. A head mechanic of a fleet of 200 told me that for every 10 only 4 were decent at best. Needless to say they went freightliner.

Navistar could go broke for all I care. The shit they pulled on the other truck makers and on the epa was bad business. Why aren't they responsible for the money they cost everyone else in lawsuits? Because they didn't wanna run scr their way of selling it is lawsuits? F navistar!

If you drill into the bolt, be sure to use left hand drill bits. Lots of times they'll come out with the bit.

$62,000 was not list price. That was what mine actually cost. I think it list for almost $100,000. -

We bought a 95 RD brand new, 350, 8ll, air ride and a/c. $62,000 outright no f.e.t. or license or sales tax. -
I have a 1990 ch that is totally stock. Less than 600,000 miles. We put a new injector pump on and left it at stock setting. It put 336 HP to the ground.

I was told that the E6 bottom end isn't strong enough for over 400 horse. We always ran ours for 900,000 plus miles before mains or anything. The last ones were a great engine. But it all depends on who's pushing the pedal.

Set valve lash, I always run stage two reman injectors from RFI out of Mn. You'll gain 30+ HP and even mpg. -
Use the Mack silicone, that stuff is amazing.

If it doesn't have Jake brakes its very easy. But I always do a valve set when I replace injectors. -

Actually you have a bad breaker for your headlights. Its a one minute fix. I've had that happen a few times. -

That is so true. I've noticed prices creeping up. Starters went up $100. My parts man said its because they buy their parts through a mack depot.

2001 460 in a CL.... 32,000 hours now 900,000 miles. I change injectors every 250,000 and set valves. One turbo at 750,000 just because it felt a little loose. Otherwise all original. I always run a stage 2 injector and it'll pull 45 pounds of boost. Jake is actually really great.
