  1. Wedges had a ton more stopping power than s cams. But what a pain in the ass to set up. I think most were unhooked.
  2. Insulate your cab with dynamat or something like that. It will help keep heat out in summer and cold out in winter. It also quiets down the interior. But make sure you cover all the metal.
  3. Shop dog and cat......don't they know they're not supposed to get along?
  4. The engine will not give trouble like a '04. In '05 the cooling was completely changed and software and parts are different. I'd never be afraid of that truck, especially with a new long block.
  5. This is all a pointless argument. I honestly love the new Macks. I love the old macks just as much. The whole whole new "image thing" is just the result of a great sales team at a advertising company. We all know the superliner should've been updated in the U.S. as it was down under. Every company has its faults and I believe Freightliner and Binder survive on cheap prices for fleet trucks. I'm glad Mack doesn't have that image.
  6. Don't ever mess with the governor or buffer on those!! 1/16 of a turn and you'll have a pile of junk.
  7. Parts discontinue is a typical Volvo thing. If they design anything new you can bet in 5 years the old stuff is NLA.
  8. This whole 3D printing thing intrigues me a lot. I wanna learn more about it and watch it work more. But I know guys that made tail lights, ornaments, emblems and lots of intricate parts.
  9. Anyone have a 3D printer? That would work great for this kind of stuff.
  10. Lol. Not a frame off. Just was dipped in smurf piss blue.
  11. U look like u need me to warm u up!
  12. I see nothing at all the plow driver did wrong. Youre only 20 feet off the road, you know you'll get blasted. The driver of the truck wouldn't expect a guy to be standing there either. He looked liked he was going about 40mph only.
  13. He also had 10" straight pipes and a 18spd with a brownie box behind it. He had 72 gears. I helped work on the air throttle on it one day....I'll never forget how smooth that thing was!
  14. Don't worry ECD. We'd rub together to keep warm.
  15. Well, we have a high of 10 today..... Yay.
  16. Lol....the 50's is 70 degrees warmer than here!
  17. -21 tonight! When the hell is spring coming!!??! ECD......send me some heat! Please!!!
  18. That's sweet mack3p. Supposedly my titan should be built in May. I'm gonna see if I can fly down there
  19. ECD....It looks like milk loves u back!
  20. Ws721.....On the farm pick up units I just have a 4" halogen backup light mounted in the cabinet. It creates enough heat to keep it thawed. Some guys have a small heater that hooks to the truck engine with quick connects by the glad hands. If the truck is parked for the night outside we'll hand a heat lamp in it.
  21. ECD .......its a heatwave here! 12 degrees!
