    We were ok at 10 psi with no water. But when we hit 15 we ended up with a mack fuel tank that has rounded ends like a peterbilt

    My CL's have battery boxes and air tanks under them on both sides.

    Great camera work though. I love how the cowboy driving the Pete keeps bumping on the throttle when he moves.....if I ever saw anyone drive one of my trucks that way,there'd be hell to pay. The old Cummins seemed to run nice.....for now.

    Renaults European styling ruined the classic mack styling in my book.

    Not sure. He said the truck originally came out of Canada, with no motor.

    1977 300 Plus I believe with a 2 stick 6spd. I was prob. 12 when dad let me drive it from one farm to the next one evening.

    If Arden "didn't know" about the engine..... Its probably junk. We heard the "should be good" line from him a few times and have gotten screwed. All part of the gamble of buying used stuff I guess.

    Vlad, don't waste the trip there. I lived 10 minutes from there my whole life. Not much around there anymore. That place was my dream when I was a kid. I loved roaming around the shop when I was a kid. Last time I was there Arden had the shop rented to some guy installing stereos in cars. The place was actually the original Manders Diesel. Then Arden bought it and Manders went to Lakeville.

    This rattle drove me insane! It actually ended up being the hood. Where the hood goes into the pockets when you close it.....they should have rubber on them. I lost on of the rubber pads so the metal would rattle in the pocket.

    Be careful pressurizing the tank. If its a steel tank any good metal worker guy can straighten that out.

    The CHN had the new cooling because of the problems in 04. The Volvo frame rails were used because it was cheaper than having a different design engineered for mack brand. Kscarbel.....do you know if mack even has their own engineering anymore?
