I cannot respect Truck Shops opinion. You can't make a judgement and have such a negative opinion if you have never drove one or experienced it. I'm not a fan of cabovers at all but I'd love to see, ride and drive one of those Scanias. Then I could give an opinion you could respect.

Don't worry about gear ratios or getting air ride. You just find one with the motor and tranny you want. You can buy a "cutoff" real axle setup cheap to slide under it.

I had this issue years ago, for some reason replacing my fuel check valve cured it.

I think there are plenty of trucks sold that justify the cost of building conventionals. Companies are so worried about appeasing stock holders that they want to make it as most profitable as possible. -

I'd have to measure to sure. I know I had both, but can't remember what was on the one truck I sold. If I remember I tape measure I'll let you know tomorrow

I have them on a couple of mine. I used two different brands and they both worked in existing hole. I had to use a carbide bit on on to enlarge a couple holes but the turned out real nice.

At the museum look at the flour mill. It was built there about 20 years ago. It is an exact replica of my great grandfather's mill he owned in Grand Island. I haven't seen it since it's been finished. I'm 500 miles away and haven't had the chance

Head over to Grand Island for a day. There's the stuhr museum. They have antique tractors, an old town from the 1800's, steam locomotives and so on. There's also the big truck stop there on 30.

A local construction company here buys 2500 Chevy HD with 6.0. They run them 200,000-300,000 miles then auction them off. They like the simplicity and how cheap parts are. Not a lot of sensors, no turbos, no lag and no shuddering. Their bigger trucks were all powerstrokes but now they're just buying v10s because of upfront cost and maintenance costs. There are times simpler is better.
