    Ks, did Mack have anything in the works for later emissions before Volvo got them? Or did Volvo make them just bandaid the etech?

    I love my Etech. 35,000+ hours 1,000,000+ miles and still going strong. Its a 2001 in a cl. All I ever did was a water pump, alternator and valve set and injectors every 250,000 miles. 460 with stage 2 injectors and almost pulls as well as my mp10. Doesn't use any oil on 10,000 mile oil changed.

    So is a Kenlworth not a Kenworth because paccar owns them? Companies are gobbled up every day by other companies and passed around. What about when signal and garret had mack? Were they still a mack? KS is right Mack should've been kept American.

    My Titan is still Mack tranny, Mack rears, Mack cab, you can get Mack camelback but I have "Mack" airride. Now that is still quite a bit mack even if the motor is Volvo. But, guys even had superliners with detroits back in the day. Mack isn't dead yet.

    Absolutely makes sense. I don't want my guns stolen or worse, my child or someone else's getting their hands on one. We have so many people that have zero common sense and have to be told how to do everything. It's a law already to leave a loaded gun somewhere that a child can have access to it. But they dont have access to the ones in my safe or the ones on my body.

    I use to grease every 5000 miles. But a friend of mine at Penske that is a big shot maintenance guy talked me into doing it less. They grease every 40,000 miles. I've been going every 10,000 miles for a few years and absolutely no issues. He said most most damage is done by over greasing tie rods and boots. And when you grease the u joints, grease both zerks till they pop and wipe excess grease off the joints. I have u joints with 700,000 miles on them.

    Never did cups or injectors. 120,000 miles on it and only issue is oil usage. 1 gallon every 2700 miles

    So will Mack be able to build and test their own prototypes without volvos consent? Will they be able to design engines with other groups on joint ventures? This could be a great thing. The Mack brand alone is worth more than all of Volvo's assets.
