    I know it's not just Mack laying off people. My girlfriend works for Cummins and they're doing the same. All the contingents went this week, office workers next week and they figure dec 11 for assembly workers.

    I had a banjo housing that kept leaking by the bolts where the carrier drops in. Turns out the housing was cracked between the bolt holes. Very fine cracks between almost all of the holes.

    Someone was not happy or didn't get their demands met. A buddy of mine has a Chevy cruze diesel and loves it. I don't know if it meets emissions but it does get 40 to 45 mpg on freeway. He went on a 700 mile trip with it and got 49.

    I was always told having a Detroit is like having a 4 inch pecker. It's alright to use around home and will get the job done, but you dont go to town and show it off.

    The ltl's were one of the best looking trucks anyone built. I also like the L cabbed B models.

    Why does the Australian w900 look like a cheap Chinese knockoff? No aerocab? So does the steering shaft still go between your feet?

    When I was in school we were told only the c could be made into a 13spd. And if you wanna swap trannies, you might as well get a 18spd

    I'd replace liners too just in case theres cavitation. I had a E7 427 with just at a million miles, we pulled the heads and the liner protrusion was to low. Damn things still had the cross hatches in them and no ridges. So if you got it opened up you might as well go the extra step and be good for the long run.

    This is why I could never work in law enforcement. I would be locked up forever. There would be lots of guys like this no longer alive.

    This is the part of a rebuild I'd let an actual bodyman handle. The right guy can do amazing things cheapper, quicker and better.

    I'm not sure about in the states. But in Australia the mp10 is different from the Volvo. They don't have a vgt turbo among other differences

    Woohoo! I'm storing all my corn from here on out! These things will probably only get 3mpg so we're going to need a lot of ethanol. Corn price should hit $10.
