  1. The one RD I had someone put a cup holder in. It had the solid jockey seat and they bolted a bracket to the side of the seat bottom base. Then he made a nice oak cup holder he mounted on it.
  2. I have a 1990 elite ch. E6, all mack, on air ride. Completely restored 2 years ago, it could sit on a showroom floor. I even had the mack style stripes repainted the same way. I love that truck.
  3. Run a VIN off of a CL. They didn't have waste gates or any of that
  4. Technically the granite was an R model with a CH cab, the CL was a superliner with a CH cab and set back front axle, the CH was the last new model.
  5. I was told by some mack reps to use a 427 file on a 460. They said she'll smoke a little at first if you get into it but lots of power.
  6. A VMAC E9?
  7. Stainless clad is the one you want GOOG. It's an aluminium bumper with stainless steel wrap. I went the cheap route once and got a chrome one, what a piece of junk. Twice as heavy and rusts constantly.
  8. It's like a giant present just waiting to be unwrapped!
  9. I wouldn't pay a penny over flat rate.
  10. I'm pretty sure when I ordered my CL in 2000 I could've ordered it with the E9. But I wanted cruise.and didn't want an air throttle.
  11. You wad up a bunch of paper towels and cram them between the mirror and plastic. Actually the only decent power mirrors I seen are on my 2015. I like the bulldog mirrors best to be honest
  12. If he had the hoses off he should've changed the expansion valve right away. While you're at it do yourself a favor and put a new evap in right away too. Also replace the thermostat sensor.
  13. I could see it sitting an extra day if you need to get the flywheel turned
  14. Speaking of litigation, I was at a threshing show last week. There were probably 30 steam engines running. I thought this is a lawyers wet dream. It's amazing how they ruined America
  15. I had an excursion........lets just say I don't know why they ever put their gas engine in them.
  16. Hows the cab rust on her? What shape is the interior in?
  17. Thats a el cheapo j.c. Whitney one
  18. I went to local fleet supply store and pick up a belt for a round baler. You can buy it bulk. To get the belt the right width just roll it up and cut it on the band saw
  19. If there is a good tranny shop in your area you'd be better off rebuilding the 700r4, unless you wanted to go to a six speed auto. There are guys that will make that 700 stronger and shift as good as any new ones. Plus there is a ton of different torque converter setups and stallers and you wont need a controller. There is a guy up here that builds them for race cars and hot rods and he'll set you up with lockup torque converters with stall and everything else you could want. If you have a local dragstrip go there and visit with the guys. The racers will know the places to go to for tranny work. Any "speedshop" up here is usually a rip off and its always inexperienced guys.
  20. I'm all for it. We haul milk and are paid by the weight. Nothing will change. Our rates wont drop, we just wont get fined as much
  21. They're all pretty close except for some minor changes until 07 or 08 when they added a few inches to the back. '98 they went to steel doors, but they interchange, my '90 has a slightly different cowl than newer ones. Where the hood latch is it bumps out. Dashes started changing around 2000 but you can interchange those too.
  22. I would like to see a E7 in a tractor. I don't know if anyone every did it.
  23. That's a nice suburban! Bucket seats?
  24. $1000 truck at the most
  25. Theakerstwo is right. You have to change the pump. Not a big issue. Cummins guys will know exactly what you need. A few years back I helped a buddy put an 855 in a 4586. Pretty simple swap. Ran the exhaust up the corner of the cab and put an outside air filter on off an r model. Also extended the front of the frame for the radiator.
