  1. Didn't Stanley go broke a few years ago?
  2. Fuel filters are definitely the culprits alot now. When the "new generation" diesels came out, fuel filters got really restrictive. I think the big three are talking changing filters at 20,000 miles.
  3. I've read that'll have a 2 stroke Detroit in it.
  4. I have replaced those seals on the PS gearbox and they always end up weeping a year later. I leave them, I just clean the oil off every once in a while.
  5. My trucks will have 58,000 pounds on their back as a STRAIGHT truck. Gross 91,000 lbs. This on a approx 40 foot truck. The ONLY truck I have driven and seen comparable was a Western Star. It had a Detroit and weighed about a ton heavier than my Titans. It sat just as high too. Paccar, granite, Freightliner and IH do not make a truck as rigorous. Sure I could buy a t800 and double the frame but I promise it will not handle as well or last as long.
  6. Drive a Titan......You'll change your opinion on the cab being to high. I also believe it's the same cab height as the Aussie trucks. I had a hi/lo splitter valve on the Titan blow apart the other day. We crawled between the cab and frame to change it. Took a whole 15 minutes.
  7. I've had granites and I have a Titan. There is no way to compare a Titan to a granite. The early granites were just a ch cab on a R model frame. The later granites are nowhere as rigid as the Titan. Load them both at 90,000 pounds and you'll see why they don't compare. As for the mp10, I love the motor, great engine braking, great mileage and no issues. But I still have a etech with stage 2 injectors that will out perform it up hills. Flat ground the mp10 runs away.
  8. Talked to a Mack rep today. Titan is done. But he said there are announcements to be made in the next couple weeks. I don't believe Volvo is deliberately trying to kill Mack, I think they are just that ignorant and arrogant.
  9. Condolences.
  10. This is what happens when an economy is ran by liberals for to long. Let's have the government pay for college till we're 25 then we'll work 30 hour weeks till we're 50 and have the government pay us for the remainder of our lives. We can all drive a small yugo type car, live in a 800 square foot apartment and eat what they tell us to eat. Then at 75 years old you'll be bored with life. But don't worry....The government won't allow any major medical care for you at that age anyway so you can just die. But it'll be so great to have free schooling, free health care and 30 hour work weeks. No one will be able to afford anything extra and the economy will suffer!
  11. A Titan........18spd, 3.55 rears, 270" w.b.
  12. In person, they're very plastic looking and Freightlinerish with chromed over plastic. At least they're giving an effort at a large hood yet.
  13. Most WC RDs were under mixers.
  14. I'd be interested in some pictures of that and condition and price
  15. Vlad is right about the corner triangle on the panel. The doors are a bitch to shut if that's not cut out.
  16. The one I had had all aluminum battery boxes, air tanks and fuel tanks. I think the front axle had a different setback. I know the mud flaps were just rubber flaps on the hood where the Rd had the nice plastic fenders.
  17. Thanks for the elaborate update! I was waiting for this.
  18. We slid a metal snoot off of a combine head into a new f150 and it actually did "tear" the bed floor. The dealer said we should've bought a bed treatment.
  19. Because our cupcake society of liberals and unintelligent would either be offended or get bored and not understand it.
  20. I gotta say, the inside of the cab looks a hundred times better than the U.S. model
  21. I just ordered a bostrom serta seat. About $1100 with freight. I hope it's comfy, no way to the without getting thousands of miles in them
  22. I honestly don't think you'll be able to pressure test it yourself if that's how you removed it...........
  23. Now that binder looks pretty sweet.
  24. How damn long is that wheelbase?
  25. Good for them. Hire people that wanna actually work. Pay them fair and it'll work.
