  1. I thought that looked familiar. He lives back that road about a mile or so on top of the hill behind the church. We go to a reunion every July so I will check it out if it's still there.
  2. My cousin lives just off 422 at Worthington. Is the B located at the shop on the south side at the light? Love the pictures each week. Required reading for Sat morning. Harry
  3. I have the B Model along with three cars with JC Taylor in NJ which insures through Foremost in Michigan (along with other companies). I just got my renewal policy back yesterday. Attached is one of the declaration pages which is interesting. It raises a lot questions which usually aren't asked until there is a problem.
  4. I couldn't find the B Model but did find a R700 http://zanesville.craigslist.org/cto/4309780641.html
  5. welcome. Pretty neat trucks maybe will see you at the CMIT show in Frederick May 3.
  6. Here's a picture of a 1961 B 61 with a 540 gas and a duplex direct that I bought from a towing and storage auction about 20 years ago. Apparently it was being driven from NY (not sure if city or upstate) to Florida. The truck had over heating and a serious vibration and was towed from I 95 just south of Springfield, Va. I saw the truck sitting in the storage lot everyday on the way to work for about 3 months and finally called. The day I called was the day of the auction and no one had showed up. The lot owner agreed to sell the truck for his towing bill and also agreed to deliver it, a deal I couldn't refuse. The lot owner told me he had been told the truck had been a concrete mixer. The mechanical problems turned out to be a bad water pump and a bad pinion bearing on the front drive axle. Another problem that could not be easly corrected was the gas mileage whiclh was about 3 or 4. Top speed was about 55, not sure what rears it had. I kept the truck for a couple of years and sold it at the Winchester, Va auction to Donovan's Used Cars in Harrisonburg. He later sold and maybe it is still out there somewhere.
  7. It looks like it should clean up nice. Lots of fun in store for you.
  8. I don't know about the Rs but I just finished doing the wiring harness on my 60 B and there is a buzzer in schematic located on the driver side dash/steering column support. The air line sensor runs off the air manifold on the passenger side of the firewall. Good Luck, Harry
  9. Happy Birthday. U got plenty of time to "git yur Mack on".
  10. Welcome, That is about the nicest looking pickup I've seen. As far as shifting there is a lot of great advice on this forum about technique, rpms, etc. My experience when I first got the B-61 out this past summer with 9 speed overdrive was shifting from 3rd to 4th was almost impossible without grinding and when it would finally go in the loss of rpms was so bad you almost had to shift back down. Come to find out the shift from 3rd to 4th was an upside down U toward the seatand 5th was up toward the dash. It's has a TRD 720 in it and I'm not sure why it works that way but it is OK once you get used to it.
  11. Speaking of Shipping Wars, I see Roy, the nasty guy with the cat died of a heart attack last month at the age of 49.
  12. Nice looking equipment. That green grass sure looks nice this time of year.
  13. Condolenceses to you and your family for your loses and admiration for raising and giving opportunity to your grandson. Hope to see Daniel in the Superbowl some day.
  14. Very nice. What size rubber?
  15. Will the transmission top cover come off with just removing the panels of the floorboard? It looks like there is very little clearance between it and the cross support.
  16. Very cool video. Looks like a lot of fun.
  17. Seems like for that kind of money and enthusisam they would at least flop the plywood over so you could see the front end.
  18. Here's the rest of the story on the Plymouth. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/07/automobiles/collectibles/07RUST.html?ref=automobiles&_r=0
  19. It is "too rich for my blood" also.
  20. Horseless Carriage had a NOS White 3000 cab still in the crate. I remember seeing it a few years ago and I think he had it for sale in Wheels of Time.
