  1. I need one OEM battery cover for our 1962 B61T I am in mid Missouri
  2. We are sending our old Fontaine 5th wheel out for sandblasting and then we’ll give it a fresh coat of paint. I know the Fontaine tag will be destroyed so it needs to be removed. I guess I’ll drill out the rivets but what’s the best way to reattach it when it’s done?
  3. Just thought I’d share some information for those that do not have access to scales. we had our ‘62 B61T weighed today. about 100 gallons of fuel and a 270lbs. driver it weighs 11580 lbs. it has a 711/turbo with triplex
  4. I am not sure what model of Unity. S5 , S6. then what about the correct mount?
  5. Looking for a drivers side pillar mount spotlight for our ‘62 B61 our truck has the hole in the pillar where one once was, like to fill the hole.
  6. Yes the old Fontaine is showing its age. my thoughts are to cut the welded on metal on the leg ends. That would allow me to remove the slide plate. I fear the cross shaft had become frozen in place, when you move the hitch plate the whole shaft moves. I am going to take it as far apart as I can. Sandblast and make repairs the repaint it red. The truck has historic tags / insurance so it will not be working, just a toy. One day when it finds its next caretakers we will inform then of the condition of the 5th wheel.
  7. We are wanting to paint our frame back to the original red color. 1962 B61T From the cab back it had been painted black. going to reinstall the original 5th wheel as well. What would the factory correct red color be for the frame?
  8. I was not sure what that was for? So that’s a clutch brake?
  9. I am not sure my truck has a clutch brake. It’s a single disc.
  10. When I say “ not releasing” it is not stuck. The manual says move gear shifter to 5th gear until light raking is felt. Then press clutch pedal slowly until it will shift into. 5th gear. Should be about 1/2 way to floor. on my I can go to floor with clutch and wait about 20 seconds before transmission stops and engages.
  11. The clutch in my B61 is getting weak. It’s a CL28 clutch with the 711 and tri-plex transmission. we have made adjustments according to the manual but didn’t help much. I am trying to decide on replacing it myself or finding a local shop to do the work. is it even possible to buy a new disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing? Any thoughts or advice on the subject would be great appreciated. Mark
