  1. I wondered about them going old school on the Charge air your likely correct and if they desire to raise the Hp they will have to go air to air to reach that goal in my mind ! I also see they didn't bolt the block together NO BUTRUS bolts or plate to secure the bottom end! BALLSY in my mind!
  2. If it has a miss on thous cylinders you may have an issue with delivery valve washers! on certain models of the pump there are copper washers below the delivery valve nut that can crack and leak by! I would take it to a fuel shop if you have one near by and have it checked It can be done on the truck but you have to have the proper socket to remove the delivery valve nut! just my opinion!
  3. We have seen the shafts gear break the oil pump will quit if this happens!
  4. 🥵 All of the above plus,! if you have developed a miss it is possible you have a valve failed and it has compromised a piston and a liner !
  5. I know you said you pulled the belts however when this model first came out fan hub bearings were an issue for a time! Can you tell which the direction the humm is coming from! ? If the bearings in the hub were bad you could stand mid rad and hear it at idle!
  6. Nice set up !Really like the idea! If it were a situation where your turbo Needed replacing, it may be worth the while to change up to this setup! Cool! VGT with no computer intervention!
  7. hopefully won't be a next one!compressors seem to be less common than egr coolers and cups!
  8. Are you loosing any coolant ? any signs of coolant at the EGR cooler outlet?
  9. Too bad we had to go this far to find that compressor is almost harder to do than the EGR cooler O well At least you found it!
  10. Check for power at the relays located in the former glove box area! Lh side! Should be four relays located there!
  11. Which code is still active besides the pump code ? Did you confirm the boot is sealing to the hood? 270 code is related to this! Just sayin!
  12. Yup I'd be all over that ! its as sweet as I remember!
  13. Sounds like a deal to me! i have seen these before they are nice pans!
  14. Believe so! ! 38 litre pan! BRO if your pan has a dipstick on the side Be sure to ask If their new pan is equipped! if your ordering!
  15. 38 litre pan
  16. NO DO NOT Lock tight the bolts ! if you want put a dab of silicone on the threads locktight is too viscous!
  17. You could try PAI parts they have a good selection of pans for most engines! That said! We compared prices 6 months back and they were similar to the our dealer pricing! MAK240GB5271M4 https://store.paiindustries.com/catalog/details?catalogId=6&catalogTid=10590&page=106&figure=69
  18. pAI. Parts ! good pricing

  20. You may have to be in 1st gear to get low! a few Mack Trans were like this!
  21. Highly doubt thats your issue how ever the screen is in the range valve on top there! Make sure the output yoke is tight! If it has a cummins in front of it the yoke is likly loose! this trans had problems before they redesigned it and the redesign made it worse ! Just SAYIN! 😡
  22. Compressor discharge temp indicates the hood to air cleaner boot is not sealing sucking in engine compartment heat!!!!!! Fix the boot And see what happens!
  23. Quite honestly if you have Prepped / Compacted your ground 6 inch would do for most applications in my mind!
  24. mackcat12 If your still out there and have indeed taken the bait on a new unit !!! How has your new unit been ? Are now satisfied with the new trucks performance? If you have been sworn to secrecy PM Me !
