  1. Check for power at the relays located in the former glove box area! Lh side! Should be four relays located there!
  2. Which code is still active besides the pump code ? Did you confirm the boot is sealing to the hood? 270 code is related to this! Just sayin!

  7. NO DO NOT Lock tight the bolts ! if you want put a dab of silicone on the threads locktight is too viscous!
  8. You could try PAI parts they have a good selection of pans for most engines! That said! We compared prices 6 months back and they were similar to the our dealer pricing! MAK240GB5271M4 https://store.paiindustries.com/catalog/details?catalogId=6&catalogTid=10590&page=106&figure=69
  9. pAI. Parts ! good pricing

  11. You may have to be in 1st gear to get low! a few Mack Trans were like this!
  12. Highly doubt thats your issue how ever the screen is in the range valve on top there! Make sure the output yoke is tight! If it has a cummins in front of it the yoke is likly loose! this trans had problems before they redesigned it and the redesign made it worse ! Just SAYIN! 😡
  13. Compressor discharge temp indicates the hood to air cleaner boot is not sealing sucking in engine compartment heat!!!!!! Fix the boot And see what happens!
  14. Quite honestly if you have Prepped / Compacted your ground 6 inch would do for most applications in my mind!
  15. mackcat12 If your still out there and have indeed taken the bait on a new unit !!! How has your new unit been ? Are now satisfied with the new trucks performance? If you have been sworn to secrecy PM Me !
  16. I think its pretty evident we have No say!
  17. This resonant ride condition was a bit of an issue on the v8 with the ambac pump as well! The fix was a light spring om the right side rack acted as a damper for this condition ! I have never run into it on any Vmac Pumps entirly possible thou!
  18. AGREE ! Doing it once is best! Valve set 1-6 2-5 3-4 on those marks in engine rotation in firing order! Getting up and down 6 times is better than the alternative ! Just sayin!
  19. The The technique is simple enough .you want the clutch brake to engage right before the pedal hits the stop in the cab aprox 1/2 inch off the floor this can be adjusted via the clevises at either end of the cable or by the sloted clutch arm on the side of the trans! once adjusted then proceed to the inside adjustment!
  20. Yup If it does not have a solo clutch its the same! Remember to check / set the clutch brake first via the cable / linkage!
  21. Yup He's the MAN!
  22. Not Worth taking a chance on in my mind! don't care how much you saved!Money better spent buying the proper part! The reliefs are there for a reason!
  23. GOOD JOB!
  24. Kind of an odd issue !These have had water pump impeller issues before! Might be worth a stab in the dark to replace the water pump! Just a thought! Also when the cups were replaced did they do the stat?If the coolant gets contaminated by fuel it ruins All the orings on the coolant side of the engine pretty much!
  25. remove the forward tube on the EGR cooler (quick and easy check ) see if its damp in there! Before chasing the compressor ! Just my opinion!
