  1. We have sold a fare few units of this in version One ! This here appears to be a much better version over the first version of this unit ,the torque arms on version one, were always coming loose at the axle end! The dog bone at both ends of the torque arm appears to be a an much needed upgrade! See how it goes !

  3. It can !How ever if you catch it soon enough your best case senerio is to ! replace PISTON ,LINER ,HEAD, most likley TURBO and possibly oil pump! Its a fairly pricey fix! because the piston is skirtless valve peices cock piston to one side when it gets to the top and the small piston skirt area cracks the liner when it cocks! we have Seen this happen a few times now ! Its not a frequent thing like cups or anything , just a happening!

  6. Nope never heard this , But Better than nothing I suppose! At Least there still attempting to remedy the injector dance syndrome ! A crush sleave injector humm 😂 one time use I suppose? A decent sized hold down bolt might help too ! How ever if it works they will likly use up all the old stuff on the Mack side just to make it Look Bad i'm sure ! 😡 Seems like that's how it goes anyway , Not implying anything! 😑 Just sayin!
  7. Not sure they are offering hydraulic Brakes or not how ever if not this will make there market way smaller in my region !
  8. Not easy to diagnose ANY physical stuff on this junk ! Were chasing exhaust gas in coolant ! Spin the wheel of fortune ! Is it cups NO ! Is it injector seven ?NO is it EGR cooler ? Is It the turbo NO ! Then I guess were PULLing the head!

If the engine has a plastic return line to the head I would check to see it isn't worn thru or the ends arn't loose on the barbs also check the jumper line between the valve covers the orings sometimes leak! Injector orings can sometimes cause this issue as well!and of coarse the transfer pump! check the easy cheap stuff first the pump ain't cheap!

  13. Hes having the mod done himself ! Can't tell ya that at the moment I will ask! You are correct the turbo inlet is restrictive I agree with your prognosis AND I'm not positive he isn't having other mods done! As Zak stated His boost is at a more normal 33 Usually you got to add fuel to get boost ! So that said Unless I'm getting BS Numbers on the boost! I have to see ? I will see what kind of pyro he's seeing? All this is here say At this point! It Maybe his 42 is actually 32 in which case Its in the ball park! I would like to drive this my self and see what is actual happening ! I'm wondering if they are not giving the turbo a chance to cool after a work out causing this life shortening of the turbo ! Also! If this thing was over fueling I would expect to see Blue Manifold and turbo snail evidence! These look normal they haven't been getting hot! how ever if it is ramming air in at 42 psi we might not see this heating evidence ! Just my observations!
  14. It’s kinda Of an odd issue Zak this truck has always had this issue! Not sure yours is pounding out the same boost this puppy is making!who knows it may be driver related too not sure!
  15. Modified stock turbo two shaft seals! To elevate the blow by issue be aware we’re putting this back the way we found it as he declined putting manifold change as to not mess with success! Didn’t want to risk going backwards!

  17. Thanx for the replies guys ! Yup correct . Stock gauges electric! The ETs Unknown, Boost is over 40 bumping 42! I'm told, No other mods yet other than the cam. He is and we are reluctant to change much as the only real issue is poping a turbo every several years now . It is a tandem gravel hauler! And that turbo issue had been on going since the truck was born, Kept failing by way of boost down the turbo drain into the base! We removed the exhaust this time to get the oil out . the 4 inch exhaust clear and the muffler is straight thru no restriction other than not being 5 inch! Don't want to mess with the engine file cause it pulls so well! sorry got no more than that ! He has reordered the the turbo( BD is building it ) and is and sticking with the tried and true! I guess So we will not see an out come from this conversation (! It will always be A what if!) Any predictions if we did change the manifold and exhaust ? I wish we had an open cheque book here but pebble packin only pays so much! 😡
  18. Bro I'm concerned about the out come of the hardware changes here! How will it effect that turbo ? That turbo is already breaking shafts! we are going to let it breath even more if we change the manifolds and 5 inch it! not committed yet how ever I believe if we do the 5 inch pipes and muffler on the out side we likely will be safe BUT doing the manifolds could be asking other for problems!?
  19. 2005 AI We have an 370 hp engine that has had a 460 ac cam installed in it the engine pulls like a Bear! How ever Eats turbos every year or so! We are entertaining installing all the early 2003 manifolds and 5 inch exhaust ! do you guys think this will help or slow down the turbo fail rate or accelerate the turbo issue! The turbo is the stock AI turbo shaft modified ! I'm no expert on turbo geometry Even prior to the cam the engine had lots of failures Blow by into the base via the turbo drain! The customer now has the turbos custom built with a double seal ring on the shaft that used to be done when the stealth brake was around ! He claims the boost is up over 40 psi !😨 So will it spool more or less with the old style manifolds and 5 inch exhaust ! Either way it will be an experiment gone wrong or gone right or no change if we follow through on it! Would like some ideas here! Kinda worried were going to mess up a the stew here by adding to much salt!

You talk to some of them E service guys they treat you like dirt Sometimes! We're Just trying to get stuff fixed for people! And sometimes Just got to work off Rumors and other peoples experiences how ever far out there they may seem ! When I joined this site I had hoped that we could talk discreetly on the Dealer Tech forum ! But no one seemed interested In sharing info ! So Its all out in the open on the regular forums which is fine also, People deserve to know what they bought into I guess!
  22. The whole set up pisses me off! The Primary filter Should be Before the Transfer pump Mounted to the Truck !! First line DEFENSE Just like Days of old! Suck thru the primary Blow thru the secondary ! Re circulate back to the Tank! Just like Days of ole This way the fuel is filtered Completely and Thousand times a day WITH OUT FAIL! This bs of short circuiting it on the engine is Just that BS! another possible issue U may have there is the dosing module!!! system Air getting up stream!If the Injectors Are so Fussy about having clean Fuel! WHICH THEY ARE Then ! The set up isn't very well thought thru IS IT! ? !

  24. Bro ! Filter heads can cause the similar issues ! We have changed several due to this! Also that rinky dink pos primer pump can be an issue ! Its to bad these Volvo turds didn't put a electric primer on like cummins did ! Iv'e said it before ,For the most part the MP8 base engine is OK ! Could be a stellar engine if they would address some of the issues Cups etc! The stuff the dollar store stuff they bolt to it NOT SO MUCH! 😡
