  3. If the history is unknown on this engine You should change out your rocker bolts if you haven't already! DON'T TRUST THEM! Its and un written rule at our place to replace these if we don't have history of replacement ! had a few bad experiences!
  4. E6 Is is standard thread I believe! The e7 lines are metric! You pretty much need the fuel line set up from a donor engine! vmac lines are totally different guess you could disable the syncro vance and leave it in place! Don't know never tryed this!

  6. Good call! also make sure your hood boot is sealing on the hood this will throw a 270 code!

So an update if you guys are interested a shot in the dark hit the target .after all the data capture and other bs bla bla bla the boys took a stab at thinking outside the E service shit and checked the Venturi tube found it was obstructed replaced the tube and sensor and all is good power is back and the boost no longer has fluctuations ! They thru 10000 at this with the help from e service guys hopefully they will pay us for the actual fix! We didn’t ask just did it.🙏

  11. Don't ever recall seeing an AI engine in an RD ! However don't mean it ain't so ! The first AI engines appeared on the seen here in the CV models! And the first real issues we had with them was the fan hub bearings failing in short order And Having a huge back log on hubs ended up having to buy bearings and rebuilding the hubs as a get by till the hubs were available for warranty purposes!
  12. Yup It is what it is! Also in that model year if the ecu Sees any more than 33 psi boost it will derate you So trying to get any more out of it is quite difficult! That is a good find thou ! RD SX One tough truck

  15. Not A problem Bro I ain't involved ! Unfortunately the data capture didn't show what is really going on boost is fluctuating under a steady hard pull makes one think it's either something to do with the EGR valve or VGT controlment ! Its all rumor from my prospective the boys at our other shop are fighting this one! would Be interesting to get to the bottom of it! It may end up like your situation who knows! They won't let us throw parts at it and rightfully so I suppose!

We are fighting with a simular issue as your old truck at the moment, We are getting the same blank stare from mother Mack , so hopefully we will find something on our own! Low power and pulsing boost for no good reason! the data capture prooved didly skwat ! c what happens I guess!

  18. Well your hours Are quite High ! How ever Sorry Not being there Is hard to Direct you, This could be still turbo related Could be valve guides or rings too! Depending on the bloby and how much money you want to throw at it! Maybe time for a overhaul! your leak down idea is a good start i suppose!
  19. Bro ! just a few checks and experiences for you ! Check along the top of the fuel pump wear the wires clamp to the the pump ! look for any rubbed thru wiring there very common spot for issues ! Econovance to check the econovance you can run 12 volts and a ground to that there will be a noticeable change in timing and the running of the engine!
  20. First check your air cleaner! Remove exhaust pipe from the turbo and check for oil on that side of the turbo also check tpreasure side of the turbo start with these and maybe report back!
  21. Check you have power on both sides of the firewall relay just cause it clacks don’t mean it’s working! just saying
  22. because of the air flow I highly doubt it when that direction!
  23. 2 hrs providing you done have seized injector lines ! I have a line made up in my box for this job ! means you can simply blo on the line as you turn your engine or the pump dive to set..
