  5. In the picture of Greendash was that a 60 Pontiac sitting there?? Sure looks better than the old Chrysler product in the last picture!!
  6. The 24.5 is actually the Tubeless replacement for the 22 inch tube type tires. As far as I know there is no tubeless replacement for the old 24 inch tires used on a lot of old heavy duty trucks. If there was it would be 26.5..

    Tire Survey

    I will put either Michelin or BF Goodrich (made by Michelin) LT235-80R/17 on the steering of my Dodge 3500 in the spring before going to Des Moines. Will have to look at what my tire man has in the right weight range?

Dave Once you have downloaded your camera onto your computer, at the bottom of the reply box click on the "Choose Files" link which will take you to your photo library, highlight the picture, click on "open". After it loads below the reply box click on the + sign in the picture.. Fairly simple, just play with it!!
  13. Thomas thanks for your answer. In 2014 I swapped my F-250 6.0 Power Stroke for a 6.7 Cummins which came wrapped in a Dodge Ram.. 4X2 quad cab C&C with the Bradford body with side tool boxes already mounted on it, plus a 60 gal aux tank. This is how it was set up on the dealers lot for $49k. My first, and hopefully my last dually and flat bed as I am 71 Y/O. Basically I love the truck, but if I had started from scratch I probably would go with a C/M body with stake pockets or rub rails for more tie down areas and build my own taller sides. Also those tool boxes lack about 1-2 inches of height for a gallon jug of Rotella to stand up.
  14. HB The M-200 plow truck I drove in Central Square NY was set up the same as your picture except it was 2 wheel drive and a dump box.

  17. Billy Finding fuel on the Eastern coast of Australia is not too bad, but much further apart than in the States. When you get into the "Outback" is when food, fuel, and lodging become very scarce!! Here are a couple of pictures of new Macks and KW's. I forget the capacities and they were in liters, but both of these trucks were about 6-700 gallons of fuel
  18. Billy I am NOT an IH expert, But yes the big IH gas job was a 549 c.i. engine and depending on the weather they would run with a 220 Cummins.. Until they got to a gas station, then they would have to stop for more gas!!! The truck you are describing would have been an R-220 or 230. Withe the steel diamond plate it cold have had a "M" prefix??   19. If you go to brockwaytrucks.org and search topic about restoring a 361 Brockway. Tom Millard has a very detailed page about finding the material and installing it on his fathers 361.
  20. Vlad If you go to JustOldTrucks.com and user chtrout or the topic Coleman Trucks you can get in touch with Mr. Craig Trout via email or PM. He can probable answer a lot of your questions. He is basically a Coleman truck/conversion man but is very knowledgeable about all front wheel drive systems. Between Craig and his friend Don Chew they might know of someone in Europe who can use it. I doubt if it is worth the money or customs problems to ship it back to the US?
  21. From the later 40's thru the 70's Chrysler and International had a very close working relationship in Australia. IH used the Dodge "Pilot House" cab for a long time before the IH "Comfovision" cab went down under. Then Dodge used the IH A cab for quite a while. Off the top of my head, I do NOT know the details, but all the info is out here in cyberspace.

  23. I took that picture of the Trend at Winchester in 2011 and at that time it was owned by Howard Fugatte. Dave/Maint1 may chime in that Keystone has now bought it. Paul/41Chevy is correct on the body swapping idea and no there were not that many made.. During the 60's and 70's White Motor did a lot of sheet metal and badge swapping utilizing the same cabs for all the "Makes" of trucks they produced. There are many identical trucks out there with different White Motor names on them.
  24. The White Compact was the replacement for the White 3000. It was a White cab, but I do not know if they built it in house or has an outside source build it. I do not remember remember REO or Diamond T using it?? Diamond T came out with the "Trend" cab in the middle 60's, but it is entirely different per the attached photo.
