I disagree completely I am not democrat or republican but the left does not want the U.S. to fail any more than the right would want to see that, factory production left this country for profit CEO's have to make huge profit for the shareholders leaving normal Americans with low wages and disgust at working hard and never making ends meet that drives a lot of the drug problem we have when you can't hire American citizens to work for low paying manual labor jobs what would you expect but for illegal emigrants to move in and take those jobs I Know this well from Logging here in the mountains some Loggers here are hard corps right wing Trump fans but employ several illegal emigrants that makes no sense to me

For Federal income tax, I use the Standard Deduction, which has increased every year since 2017 and will again this year.  The tax brackets have adjusted downward every year since 2017.  I have no farm land, nor stocks either.  Because of President Trumps tax cut in 2017, I saved $1500 in tax compared to the previous year, based on the same income.  Each year since then, I also saved the original $1500, plus another $75 for each year since.  That means that for 2025, I should save $2100 in Federal tax compared to the amount I was taxed before 2017.  Those tax cuts were set to expire this year, but President Trump extended them in last year's tax legislation, PLUS he has created a deduction for Social Security income that was being taxed.  I'll find out at tax time how much more that will save me.

At the State level, the income tax rate was 6% for many years, but legislation passed by our Governor is reducing it each year until it reaches 4%.  In addition, the Governor has given tax rebates of $250/taxpayer in three recent years and an additional $500 rebate on property taxes to each homeowner.  For the past several years, my FREE State has had a large budget surplus and has returned some of that to the taxpayers.

Who is upset?  I'm simply trying to understand why you keep voting for people who keep raising your taxes.  I grew up in a blue state, the one known as "The Land of Taxes".  Democrat policies have absolutely RUINED that state and thousands upon thousands have moved away, including me 40 years ago.  Best move I ever made!

That's where the tariffs come in, a lot of people don't seem to understand how they work, but one of the main goals of raising tariffs was to level the playing field with imported and exported goods and to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US. 

If Mowerman Industries makes  widgets and sells them for $0.15 apeice and it costs them $0.13 to make each widget, if they can get them made for $0.08 each in Sri Lanka, they're outa' here. But if after the increased tariffs take affect the profit margin is the same or less, Mowerman Industries might as well just make their widgets right here in the US. 

But things- well, very few things- don't happen over night. If a frozen turkey has cost on average of, oh, let's say $143.16 for the last 4 years it won't magically come down to $6.14 the day after Donald Trump gets elected. But people still complain "I thought he was going to make gas cheaper, and groceries cheaper, and everything else cheaper". 

Anyway, that's my opinion.

To be fair Bin Laden was known as the leader of al Qaeda. He was immediately singled out as Enemy #1 following 9/11. The War on Terror was not a formal declaration of war, rather an Authorization for Use of Military Force. The specific law passed in the House 420-1 and the Senate 98-0. The law ended up including no less than 36 specific entities as opponents. al Qaeda is listed immediately following the Taliban and Afghanistan at large. Obama sending troops to get Bin Laden was approved by Congress as the War on Terror did not formally end until Biden's administration. Whether or not sending the troops into sovereign Pakistan to get him was "legal" or not is murky.

Well said 67' I guess I am at a point of frustration with crime, drugs, greed, and liars who run the country. I dont care about Maduro and his kind, so what ever it takes to show the world we are not weak, is ok with me. Im sure I sound like an idiot to some, but i dont care..  I live an honest life, I have a good job and take good care of my wife and our home. I have nothing to hide and dont need bad people around me to screw things up. I want to see more criminals removed from our streets and neighborhoods. whatever it takes.

You must live in a bad area. Where i live there's a kenworth factory and a steel mill operating within about 60 miles of each other pumping out production all day everyday. 

So no, ALL the jobs aren't in Mexico.  Theres alot of them but we still have plenty here if you want to actually work.
