14 ton Terex comes in handy too sometimes. Started the swap over today.
  2. He grew up about 4 streets away from me where you only saw Mack Autocar and Brockways and he's shown photos of the Autocar his father drove. I guess the shiny stuff drew his attention
  3. I need to pull Mike aside and give him a class on Mack. He's spent all his life running around in Paccars.
  4. And I wasn't going to take the trucks because it was going to rain
  5. Complete service history oil changes every 5 thousand miles Uhaul has a frame reinforcement behind the cab right where the bucket turret lands which is pretty helpful too.
  6. $2500 Somebody made a mistake and marked it non running. It started right up and could barely hear it running.
  7. Next Chassis for the ambulance bucket. One more thing that's going to delay painting my R model. 131k Absolutely rust free
  8. I've been running this one for a dozen years. 4le80 transmissions had porous cases. I've got a spare one but I would need to have my transmission guy swap the innards into it which is basically same labor as rebuild.
  9. Yup just had the trans rebuilt about 10k miles ago.
  10. Npr tranny bell housing broke ( they are notorious for this). Started adding up everything it needs. New tranny case, intake gasket leaking coolant, front springs needed, rear brakes coming up, getting rust jacking at crossmembers. I think it's time for a remount on newer chassis. I think I'm going for a uhaul E450 cab and chassis. They sell them really cheap and since I'm really cheap it looks like a good match.
  11. I talked to Mike yesterday told him he did a good job with that video. Pelligrino's garage in Brockton always had a real no trespassing vibe (probably because it wasn't in the best neighborhood). I was going by there one day and the overhead doors were open and the chain across the parking lot entry was down so I took a chance and stopped. Anthony's father Sal ( dressed in black sitting in lawn chair) was more than happy to let me look at the trucks seemed like a nice guy.
  12. Hell or high water never miss it.

I feel your pain Joey , I seem to attract underpowered trucks. My f800 dump is the same truck and 5.9 12v but with a seven speed.
  15. Npr w4500 HD 5.7 gas and 700r4 Won't win any races but it gets us there cheap. I'm also the first one on the block with a combination isuzu ambulance bucket truck.
  16. Nope, built that one about 9 years ago.
  17. Real electricians have a van for this type of thing.
  18. I didn't watch this drive away but I'll bet it could take out a lot of pedestrians every time he turned a corner. Middle of Boston acroos from Berklee College of Music not exactly wide open space
  19. In the more money than brains dept.

Awaiting restoration. I though I only had one of these.. I was wrong
  21. Scrapple is the biggest reason I go to Macungie every year. Everything but the squeal....
  22. F@%# Ice Station Zebra indeed! Between 30 and 36 " in yard still snowing. Awful feeling when you break a snowblower shear pin and you can't remember if you have a new one.
  23. Knee deep at 9am WTF
