Not even close to being true!  The US already has laws to address the issue of guns and those who are deemed "nut cases" by a Court of Law.  It is our US Constitution and Bill of Rights that require the DUE PROCESS it takes for these people to be adjudicated as mentally incompetent, before any right to keep and bear arms can be taken away.  Is the NRA a powerful lobby?  Sure they are, but don't buy into the liberal media's vision of the "evil NRA".  The NRA is the oldest and most powerful CIVIL RIGHTS organization in the US.

And do not forget the records of crimes, arrests and school issues prior to the persons 18th birthday are sealed or expunged after they turn of age. If those records were allowed in the back ground checks and if the state and local agencies send their arrest and complaint records to the national data base and IF 38 states complied with the Federal back ground check data base rather than shrugging it off, the check would flag  and stop 99% of the people with "issues" who slide by.

Listen to David Hogg the new anti gun, anti NRA poster child who is going to speak at the UN Security Counsel on the issue of private gun ownership verse crime in the U.S. on Wednesday . Today on the news he was describing how putting a in his words " a giant clip in a rifle turns it into a fully automatic. He praised the 4 officers who stayed outside as being brave and smart for not going after a boy with a "machine gun" because they only had tiny pistols.  For a person whose father whom he says fought in both Gulf Wars and retired from the FBI he appears to have a jaded view.

And yet another example of government dropping the ball.  Hell we don't even know who's in this country but trying to find out makes us bad people.

The mayor of Oakland tells illegals they do not have to open their doors to I.C.E. and even broadcasts warning of  the times and locations of impending I.C.E raids. According to the "real" media she is a hero protecting our best and brightest people, but nothing done by her for school safety except bigger Gun Free Zone signs and "arming" school guards with pepper spray. This is what is running the asylums.

Don't forget that dirt bag Jerry Brown. He should face charges of treason against California and the rest of the U.S. But in in this day and age any sort of socialist anarchy is applauded.

The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by the people who vote for a living.

The government can only "give" someone what they first take from another.

Monday morning, In the absence of strict handgun laws, some success has been made in reducing crime in my state .........

A carjacking suspect was shot and killed by a man who had a concealed weapon on him in Milwaukee on Monday, officials said.

The Milwaukee Police Department said in a news release the 21-year-old suspect, identified as Carlos Martin, was shot after he attempted to carjack a 24-year-old man around 5:50 a.m. near the Milwaukee MachineTool Corporation.

"This is the worst thing that could possibly happen to someone," MPD Captain Andra Williams told FOX6.

He said the would-be carjacker was also armed, and that as carjacking and vehicle thefts continue to rise the incident should serve as a warning.

"This should be a wake-up call to everyone in the community that this is not a game. This is very serious," Williams told FOX6.

A man with a concealed-carry permit shot a carjacking suspect outside a Milwaukee business on Monday.  (FOX 6)

Police said the would-be victim had a concealed-carry permit, and was cooperating with the investigation.

Many who work in the area told FOX 6 that carjackers frequently target businesses looking for vehicles to steal, and many workers of businesses nearby are concealed-carry permit holders.

Alderman Cavalier Johnson, who represents the neighborhood on the city's northwest side, told FOX 6 the shooting was "completely preventable."

"That young man didn't have to die today. He didn't have to lose his life, but he made a bad decision and he did," he said.

Johnson said he wants parents to educate their children about the many dangers that come with crime.

"This isn't a game. This isn't live-action ‘Grand Theft Auto.’ You don't respawn after you're dead," he told FOX 6.

A business man who owned ships in the early 1800's wrote a letter to Alexander Hamilton about his problem he was having with pirates.  He asked Hamilton if the second amendment allows him to put canons on his ships so that his crews could defend themselves.  I can not remember the exact response of Hamilton but to put it simply,he wrote that it did allow him!

Taking a slightly different tact but is absolutely pertinant to the discussion of the second amendment is the terminology of that time has to be understood.

In the second amendment, something people like to misinterpret is the term "well regulated militia."  The term well regulated meant timely, or quick to respond.  Clocks were often referred to as regulators.    It had nothing to do with restricting the type of firearm that you owned.  In fact if you showed up to volunteer in George Washingtons army and you did not have a firearm with you, he would be blow his head gasket (quite angry!).   He complained about it in some of his letters.

Yep. The same as the new interpretation of Separation of Church and State.  Meaning no government mandated religion.

And lets not forget cars and big trucks and the small rental vans.  All of these have been used in mass killing attacks. we better ban these vehichles too .  like the gun, these cars and trucks do this killing totally on their own,   no one is behind the wheel just like the gun must go off by itself, without some one pulling the trigger.       HA HA             We have laws. we just need to enforce them!!!!!
