I had all the original switches on my truck and what I thought was a toggle switch someone added. After searching the internet, I've come to the conclusion that the hole is original, but the toggle switch was not. I have not been able to read what the switch actually is in the pictures that I found. The only thing I can think of is for the defrosters. mattb73lt Posted February 20, 2018 Share Posted February 20, 2018 It might be for a Fuel tank indicator switch. My B-42 had one in that spot to switch the sender indication from Left, Right and Aux. I left it in place and put new senders in each tank to check them while running, since it was all there and wired for it. Freightrain Posted February 20, 2018 Share Posted February 20, 2018 (edited) My truck has Heater switch in one hole, Defroster switch in the other(can't say which side is which without looking in truck). Both are pull switches, with two settings, HI and Lo. The defroster switch is a black plastic knob with defroster written in white. The Heater is a white knob with heater in black letters. I looked it up on Google Maps...the inside looks pretty much like it did in 1970 when my family used to eat there. It's about 5 miles from where I'm sitting right now.
