Super Trucker Saturday

These pictures were sent to me about a year ago by fellow BMT'er Macknutt. This truck pulled into his place of work to deliver

but he was at the wrong place, so he decided to flip around and head out. Looks like he miscalculated and decided to take the

concrete blocks with him. I'll give him credit for dragging three of em that far. Did some custom damage to the suspension also.

He had to be towed out of there after this. Definitely a Super Trucker!

Its fine....drive on.....thats why theres two axles, right? lol

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part....

No Schneider truck I've ever driven could relocate that much concrete without getting my attention. The new owner must've had the power turned waaaay up.

This driver was getting on the big road too fast and hit the concret. It took the roof off with engine as well. The driver that runs in front of me came along just as fire trucks got there and he says the driver was still in his seat and holding the steering wheel like nothen had happened.Unhurt but shocked that he had lost control.

This was picture was sent to me yesterday. It is from a cold storage warehouse not to far from me that a couple friends

haul out of. The driver here cut the corner a little too short and ripped the whole suspension out from under this trailer.

Just to the right of the picture are metal posts/fence that are in place to stop trucks from going into a retention pond,

and hitting the gate. The posts/fence worked today, he's not in the pond.

I've often wondered what Swifts actual attrition rate is,as far as accidents? I know they have a huge boneyard in Arizona I've been past there a time or two and there are several THOUSAND wrecked trucks and trailers inside!............................................Mark

Swift has had 1760 reportable accidents in the 24 month period ending 12/11/14. FMCSA does not provide rating info to the public but they have 17989 tractors which, according to my calculusitrations, means that 1 in 10 trucks in there fleet has been involved in a DOT reportable crash in the past 2 years. That might actually translate into a not too bad rating.
