Saw the Meyer plant from across Lake Meyer, got a stillshot of the Euclid and the funniest thing I saw all day was one of the dummies that they are using to haul concrete out to I-90started grabbing gears out of the yard and forgot to latch his tailgate. I think all these weretaken between 78-82. The first pic is him bringing the truck home one afternoon. Franklin Grove is in between Rochelle and Dixon.Saw a few Mack's while I was there. Had a few trucks their as alwaysand tons of other automobiles. Two B-models from St. Charles came up. I knew where these two trucks were but had not met the owners till yesterday. Was nice to chat with them for awhile. The blue B was formerly owned by Macknutt(Mike) who ison the BMT forum. Also saw a cool little red wagon that was tricked out. Saw the Meyer CH, and then saw their Sterling parked in the corner with the windshield blownout of it and wondered what happened. As luck would have it five minutes later somebody sent me a picture text that explained what happened. I had to run out to Rockford south of the airport to pick up a load and I saw a Superliner, and R model, anda Cooling Sod Farm RB. I did not catch the name on the door yet and I'm not sure where it came from but it looks like somebody took a T800 grill and put it on the front of this R-model. Interesting looking for sure.It almost looks like a Superliner coming at you from a distance with the larger looking grill up front. It's not the worst thingI've seen done to a truck.
