As far as I know that bar is still doing nickel beer night. It's draft beer in those little 8oz plastic cups so buy the time you figure in how much head is on it you only get 5 or six oz and they limit how much they sell at that price. Like a keg or two. So everyone gets enough cheap beer to make them happy and then they buy other stuff at the jacked up bar prices. Good business plan in a college town I guess.

That’s what I’m referring to. The actual numbers not someone just towing the typical party lines. THe fact is all of this bs of blacks being unfairly and unlawfully persecuted by cops is a line of bs that the Democratic Party and most of the news outlets push when in fact the actual numbers show that is complete bs. So instead of just going after someone for which show they watch why not add to he conversation and go wow had no idea the media has skewed things.

Amtrak will never be successful enough to make it on its own with out being subsidized. I’m in eastern Montana and there is one rail for east bound and west bound trains to share. Freight trains make a lot of money so stopping them for Amtrak doesn’t make much sense. On top of that we average 50 trains a day so Amtrak is never on time and will always have to be subsidized unless they put their own tracks in which we know isn’t economically feasible. China’s epa is laughable at best KS, remember the 08 olympics? They had to shut down all the factories in he area before any athletes would go there because the air quality is so bad. That’s also why we send all our manufacturing there because no epa regulating them out of business.

Makes about as much sense as having welfare tied up in the farm bill.

It’s sad when we aren’t even allowed to protect our own country. Profiling which works very well (just ask the Israelis) isn’t allowed or at the very least frowned on and then the 24hr “news” channels chastise the people for protecting us using profiling. We are publicly shamed if we say enough immigrants and refugees for now. We have plenty of people and there’s no sense letting possible terrorists or any other people who will need public assistance when they get here instead of taking care of our vets and our retirees. We are supposed to let the little fat man from North Korea threaten to nuke us and say nothing. Even when he’s launching missiles over and around our allies. If we do say something our own media turns on our leaders and anyone who agrees with them. We’re not supposed to think China or Russia as bad people even though historically they were and still are a threat to all free countries. My rant is just the tip of this over the top pc bs that this country has become and unfortunately we are so tied up in that bs culture we are going to continue to let this crap happen until all the allies (all of us) get together next clean this mess up.

I wonder why some aftermarket company hasn’t tried to by the rights or whatever it would take to build engine blocks? Maybe it isn’t feasible but it would be easier than keeping these emissions trucks running.

Super simple bullet proof engine that sounds like nothing else. My dads first two Timberjacks had 3-53 and 4-53 in them. No turbos and not much if any muffler made you realize where the screamin' demon nick name came from.

I’ve had enough but unfortunately I have another 31 years until I’m 67. I’d love to go do something else but it’s hard to give up a great paying job with bennies even if I don’t like it. Just the thought of starting at the bottom again is what keeps me from quitting...for now.

I read a blurb last night in Petersen’s 4WOR that Ford is going to put a 3 liter v6 powerstroke in its half tons. I believe it was 375hp and 470lbft. Wonder why they didn’t go with an in-line to save weight in the half ton? Any clues on mileage yet?

I like that small “locker room” on the back of the cab. We really need those on our trucks. The company doesn’t want to buy sleepers but they also have us carrying more and more gear (to the point of there’s no way we could haul a passenger and all of the extra stuff could become projectiles in an accident). Does Freightliner offer this?

Jeep ran with the 4.2l (carbureted) then the 4.0l (fuel injected) for years. Until the JK I believe and it’s a fantastic engine. Lasts forever, has good power and isn’t real heavy. The only down fall I’ve seen in most of these six cylinders (v or in-line style) is the fuel mileage is rarely any better then a modern v8 so I usually opt for more power for towing and hauling since the mileage is usually neglibly different when empty.

Is it looking up from the bottom? I’m having a hard time figuring that pic out. Thanks.
