  1. He mustve been pushing into that building for quite awhile judging by the piles of dirt and snow behind his tracks. Wonder if he gets sent to one of those scary prisons in the middle of nowhere in Siberia?
  2. Zero. 12 or 13 years ago some turd stole my wife’s car and just trashed it to the point when it was found it had to be towed as was far more money to fix it than it was worth. Once or twice a year a check from the government from the car thief comes in and the largest we’ve seen is $6 or $7 that’s it. At that rate we will die before he ever pays his restitution to us.
  3. Don’t worry there are more younger guys like me that prefer the made in the USA written on what they purchase than you think I hope. Does bum me out that craftsman is gone and no more warranties. I’ve bought some Husky tools and they seem decent for a shade tree mechanic and I also check out the pawn shops when I go to town for good lifetime warrantied tools. Is SK and Proto still in business? I’ve got some of their tools I bought used but I don’t recall ever seeing them for sale or any advertisements for them.
  4. I’m thinking you’d be shut down and fined if caught disobeying the chain lay. I would suspect they take it seriously and would venture to guess you’d get your license revoked for a short while. On the other hand we’ve been chaining up nearly every day here since all the snow dumped here in a week. Plows couldn’t keep up so now many of the secondary roads we have to use that have big hills are ice and chains are a must to make it. I went into Warrick last week and needed chains to get in and get out. It’s some really steep winding roads that are only 1.5 lanes wide. Lots of 10-20mph driving though that stuff. I’ve found it’s easier to put chains on when you choose (on flat ground) rather than chain up when you’re in a pinch. Spinning chains on or chaining up after spinning out on a hill is no fun at all.
  5. Is it real cold where you're at? Possibly have airline or valve froze? Been draining you're tanks regularly?
  6. Most shows are very over dramatic, I've got a family member who once told me after watching one of the logging "reality" shows "If logging was that damned dramatic I'd of quit years ago". Ive been across Lolo pass a number of times and it can cerianly keep you on your toes, so can that little stretch that goes to Grangeville. As long as you use good judgment, throw chains on when you should and don't drive too fast with the exception of other drivers (you can't control that factor) there aren't too many times that you can't go safely down the road. Oh and blinding blizzards and freezing fog are a couple more reasons maybe a driver should stay put.
  7. something like this
  8. I saw that dummy accidentally wreck Farm Truck the first time then intentionally the second time during the burnout contest. Pissed me off to see him wreck such a straight truck. https://youtu.be/6YGuhUTvSsc
  9. I would assume same place as a light vehicle Which is usually done by taking out one of the soft plugs or freeze plugs on the side of your engine block and replacing it with a block heater.
  10. You can catch her on The Ranch, she’s held up well. Still very attractive I think.
  11. Beautiful truck. Never saw a fifth wheel pintle hitch hybrid like that. Very interesting.
  12. That is a really nice truck that to me seems well priced. Too bad that other dog next to it has that butt ugly visor on it though.
  13. Oops. Driver should've used better judgement and either pulled over or waited until his next stop to mess with it. Lucky it didn't kill him.
  14. Well said. I was using the wrong word (hacking) when trying to describe what I was seeing.
  15. Or you could do a gear vendor over drive which would double the amount of gears you have without doing a big conversion or adding hardly any weight. I know a guy who has one in a 93 dodge with a 12valve in it. He loves it.
  16. Ok so it is a spam of sorts.
  17. So is that spam or an advertisement in the pic I posted? Because it seems all kinds of weird stuff that seems like unwanted advertisements are popping up.
  18. You guys don’t see this middle ad? This and the golden goose shoes and a few others I see posted on bmt a lot now
  19. since the last website update I've noticed that there are constantly weird ads popping up in the forums. Is BMT getting hacked or just allowing some advertisement?
  20. No they’re just a hardier breed of snow bunnies up here.
  21. We’ve been running all week and yesterday’s high was -16 low was -28. It’s a real pain in the morning waiting for enough air to leak by the fittings and warm up the 1/4” plastic hose for all the fire valves and auto inflated so they will swell up and stop leaking. Once you’re going there usually isn’t any problems and I don’t shut it off until I get home and plug it in.
  22. Except when the snow bunnies are out. They are a winter creature rarely seen in these parts.
  23. It would all depend on what YOU want and how deep you're pockets are. I personally like the 3406 E model but like everything else it all comes down to preference. Besides what's a guy with the MackOnly moniker want a cat for? 😄
  24. Thanks for the info.
  25. Thanks for your help Hobert. Chasing down a couple of leads but may end up calling the outfit you gave me. Sounds like the cat dealership won't even help tracking down a used part they just want to sell a new cover for $7500.
