  1. How much less mileage? Rebuilt engines as well?
  2. Thank goodness today is my Friday. I've had enough blizzards, white outs, roads drifted shut and subzero temps over the last 3 weeks that I was surprised this one didn't come early and hose me at the end of my work week. There are literally parts of US hwy2 that has 2-4 feet of the east bound lane taken up with 1-7 foot drifts. As fast as the plows wing it off it literally blows right back shut. I can honestly say I'm thankful I'm sitting this blizzard out.
  3. My neighbor has a bicentennial (I’m assuming by the paint it’s a bicentennial) cub cadet, has a shiny grill, round headlights and if my memory serves me blue stripes on either side of the hood with red pinstriping around them and white stars in the blue stripes. As for the no skill required spendy oil Change that only changes part of the oil? Nah, not for me but I do see where it’d appeal to someone with no skill or ambition to learn how to change oil.
  4. When I was checking out prices it said free shipping too.
  5. It says in the pic that it turns clockwise. But if I remember the website asked you a few more specifics about the starters options.
  6. I agree to that to some extent but I'd bet 10 out of 10 diesel repair shops have the software for Cummins and Detroit which means they can work on any brand. Since Mack is Mack only and I'm guessing there aren't nearly as many as the other brands they'd be less likely to have the software. Not trying to start a war but going by the trucks on the road stats the above statement is likely true but it's not a fact but just my opinion.
  7. Happy birthday Vinny, are you going to take the U to prom? I would.
  8. The death penalty should be the deterrent in my opinion, as for hard labor prisons you're right title never work with all the softies in the world today. Sheriff Joe has something similar to what you spoke of and he catches hell all the time for being to mean. He had feeding the scum bags down to $0.30 or $0.40 a meal, was starting to make the prisoners farm their own food, they stay in Vietnam era military surplus walltents and cots. One of my favorite lines from one of the interview with sheriff joe was a criminal was complaining about it being to hot and inhumane to keep them in the desert without ac, without missing a beat joe said our soldiers volunteered to go and fight in the middle in 120+ degrees with full gear on, if you don't like it here don't come back.
  9. We had a brake class at work and one of th lentake aways is you (and the dot) can’t see the brakes and have no way to tell if they’re adjusted or not. One thing we have found out is you don’t want to give the truck the ol’ 3 hard pumps on the brakes a couple times a week during your post trip to keep the auto adjusters within spec. If you do the discs seem to adjust way faster than drum brakes and we’ve had more than one truck have a brake or two dragging bad.
  10. That is really neat. Usually not a fan of white but that truck wears it well.
  11. Oh did all of the B71’s have that 335ntc in them?
  12. The fbi should be very embarrassed. The news said the cops were called 39 times for domestic disturbance when the kids parents were alive. He was being treated for mental illness and quit it with out anyone following up. All the signs were here and the fbi completely screwed this up. Be nice if we heard the media harp on that instead of gun control.
  13. I thought the b71’s nose stuck out past the fenders a fair amount?
  14. Sorry to hear about your friend, I hope he heals up fast and gets back on his feet soon.
  15. In a country where gun ownership is legal you are a citizen, in a country that bans guns you are a subject.
  16. I just started wearing the ariat oilfield cowboy boot and absolutely love them. Always wear whites but the company changed policy mid year and I needed a comfortable pair of leather safety toed boots and I will definitely buy another pair.
  17. Well today warmed up so I decided to do some work on the Willys. Before I just swapped mechanical temp gauges I decided to do an experiment. I found my wife’s favorite pot, filled it with hot water out of the sink. I put both temp gauge probes in the pot and turned the burner on and watched. The old gauge was reading 15-20 degrees hotter than the old one. I suspect I have found the culprit. If not you’ll be hearing more about this.
  18. Well everyone. Some excellent points. Now if only the dems and reps could brainstorm logically like us.
  19. I realize the guards can't be everywhere in a school at once but I'm betting the mass shooting cowards would be less apt to try and attacking a school if they know there will be an armed resistance. Take the dope in aurora for example. He said he chose that movie theater because it had gun free zone stickers in it. I do agree society is the problem and needs fixed but we should try some preventative maintenance where we can.
  20. I remember after 9/11 one of the ideas bush's administration was kicking around was armed guards at our schools. There are lots of vets, and retired LEO that I think would enjoy working around the kids and since history has proved that the coward mass shooters that our media makes into superstars shy away from and even kill themselves when met with resistance with a gun. What's so hard about upgrading our schools to have windowless bullet and breach proof doors, no windows on the outside lower than 7' so shooters could shoot them from the outside? I strongly believe every gun owner should have to take a gun course where you get gun safety training, some time with an instructor at the range to get a real idea of what a weapon is and what it can do. I was raised in a household full of guns, my brothers and I knew where they were, we knew we were under no circumstances to touch one without dad being there. I also remember when we were real young dad pointing out movie magic of westerns and action movies making sure we understood that you don't shoot a machine gun at someone at point blank and not hurt anyone. I couldn't care less if they got rid of the ar rifles, but the only thing about getting rid of them that worries me is the left wants all guns gone. If they ever outlawed ar's my fear and I think anyone can google the antigun politicians and see it's a legit gear is they would turn to the next gun on their agenda and it would snow ball until we have nothing. No one ever seems to equate the criminal is the problem not the tool used. Are we outlawing rental trucks, pressure cookers or jets?
  21. That LTL is fantastic. I really like the styling of those models.
  22. I also think when we catch these cowards instead of giving them more rights than the average American behind bars we execute them or give them seriously hard labor. The kind of labor where everyday you pray for death instead. Our media also needs to have some standards. Plastering these cowards face 24/7 only makes them infamous which is what they want.
  23. Man that's sad but what do we expect from these entitled brats we collectively as Americans are raising? There are no consequences or accountability for any actions. Just another boob dr or psychologist on tv telling us why it isn't the kids fault or society telling that looney tunes (Yosemite Sam, bugs bunny etc) are way too violent. I was listening to a comedian on a talk show recently and he was telling a story about how his daughter is starting to veer off the good path and make bad decisions. He traveled to see her perform and she was a no show. She obviously ditched the choir and showed up to meet mom and dad outside the venue and tried to pretend they just couldn't see her on stage. He said he was pretty sure she'd been drinking and she started getting belligerent. He grabbed her just above the elbow and was chewing her ass for what she did. Someone called cps on him and he told cps all they had taught his daughter is that she doesn't have to listen because jail is now a phone call away for her dad. Not coming from a religous point of veiw necessarily but we need to focus on the deteriorating family unit. Single parent households are hard to run. How do you work full time and then some and rear kids? It's Pretty hard. Society has got to get over this snow flake, safe space, I'm special, the worlds not fair bullshit and start making the productive melting pot that we were. I saw a tin sign at a gun show recently and it was sam Elliot and the caption said "A man shoots a lion in Africa they blame the man, a man shoots another man in America they blame the gun"
