  12. hey ,,,noticed alotta you newbe,s around this site nowdays, and buying old trucks, thought i would give you fellars a fare warning about maxi brake pots,a lot of you guys dont realize they have a lethal high powered spring in them,,that can kill you ,or cause severe bodily damage,,,when your working around them, try to keep your body parts away from open end, with the key hole,,and if you find one leaking,,just remove it from the truck real carefull, and replace the pot,,dont try the repair it,,,its not worth the risk,,people have been severely injured, with these brake pots blowing apart,,,a friend of mine was outta work a whole year due to one exploding,,and just grazing his face,,got lucky,,,be careful,,guys...enjoy your hobby,,,bob

  20. well i think the bottom line is once a guy gets used to a straight fuller ten,,they are like walking backwards,,thier kind of fun,but have to pay attention at all times,,soon as start daydreaming,or talkin on the cb,automaticly start grinding gears
  21. that sounds good,,both i drove had electric,not a good setup,bob
  22. the big shops generally use a big type special jack for tire, and hub removal,,but you can put a board slide it under tire and put abuncha grease on the board then raise the truck just so you can just barely turn the tire on the board then have a guy give you a hand pulling the whole thing straight off the spindle sliding it easy on the greased board,,,just a little helpful hint, works like a charm if you do it rite,,also put a little grease.on bottom of tire.good luck, bob,oh have that other guy bring beer, lol.
  23. oh ya,,,those 2 speed axles were also a nightmare,,half the time they wouldnt go in,,oh by the way welcome back bill,,do you get any extra time off?
