  1. Well that is all fine and dandy, but I still doubt that THEY are getting everyone's permission to take the picture of someone else's property. Sooooo...some big supermarket chain might be upset that a picture of their truck has been copywrited by a photographer that then posts it on Hanks's. Hank's does enjoy a double standard...
  2. Sheller Globe was involved with making R models and I thought they were also doing the B? Maybe several contracts?
  3. WHAT!!!??? That is the same truck? No Way! The wheels are different.....no front nameplate.....and the blower indicates.....a Driptroit engine..... Quick, I need my meds!
  4. I have never spent much time looking at Hank's site because there are way too many pictures of Volvos. If I did download a picture, I would follow their rules for individual use or non commercial use. I think the problem is on their end. If this is such an issue for them, then lock the site so posted material cannot be removed. I doubt "only" BMT members have lifted an image. Jim
  5. With three axles down and live, I wonder how much does tire scuff increase in doing turns and in tight areas?
  6. What? Did they all have a bitch party over at Hank's truck site? It will be interesting to see if any response comes from Hank. Thank goodness my sh!t doesn't stink....
  7. Pictures of trucks in truck stop parking lots, along the highway or sitting at the dock to be unloaded has become high classed ART!!! WOW!!! I like taking pictures and posting pictures. If somebody uses one of mine it is nice to get mentioned, if they don't...big deal. Jim
  8. Barry, Excellent response to the situation. Keep us posted. Interesting point if Mr. Chris got permission for the photograph of the company truck and logo. I had never really thought about it. Jim
  9. Fire up the KTA and mistakingly run over the sob. Oooops, sorry......
  10. For a hamburger joint, they have a fine selection of muffin tops.
  11. When I was about 10 years old (long time ago now), I had the chance to do a ride along with a cable D-7. The contractor was putting in a new road on a development for my Dad and I was being a sidewalk supervisor. The operator called me over and asked if I wanted to watch from the best seat in the house. So, I spent the rest of the afternoon on the machine as the road was cut. Pretty good deal for this kid!
  12. I am glad most of your stuff will be coming back to you. Sad to hear the rest of the details. Jim
  13. I go to the new site and enjoy looking around. There are lots of pictures and different brands that are talked about. Here is a link and if I did it correctly, it should get you there. If my link doesn't work, the site is Just Old Trucks. http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/ Jim
  14. I have seen the large radiators on a "regular" 6 cylinder B model a few times. Even seen one on a B67. Different looking, but it did happen. Back in the glory days when a customer wanted something they could get it. Jim
  15. Gee......what about the missing front bumper? Remember, safety first. Everytime I see a picture of the cab, it looks worse and worse. Actually surprised it made the trip to NJ.
  16. My B833 had 22" front and 20" on the rears. It had been used as a tractor for a "Michigan Centipede". Jim
  17. You will see that type of sign around New England. Not alot, but here and there based on what the local gov. has to say. Usually when you are coming into a small village. Some will say "Engine Brakes Prohibited" and some will be nice and say "Please No engine brakes".
  18. I would vote for the blue and white paint job because I think it has more pop to it. Jim
  19. You could give a call to Don Dorr at Dorr Oil in Manchester, VT and find out about it. He might still have it. It looks like an additional grille insert is between the hood and the Brockway part of the grille. (802) 362-1950 Jim
  20. You may want to check Heartthrob Exhaust. They have mandrel bends, parts, stainless up to 5" inches as well as custom parts. www.heartthrobexhaust.com/ Jim
  21. It did but he sold the truck to George Tackaberry several years ago. Jim
  22. Nice photo! It is good to see him still dressed in his traditional black. Is he still wearing his trademark cowboy boots?
  23. I haven't heard for sure what happened to the Titans. They ended up wrecking both of them but did they rebuild or what I don't know? They have a lot of Western Star tractors and they are tight with Daigle and Houghton who are the Western Star dealer in Bangor. Daigle and Houghton are dealers for the log bunk trailers that the Pelletier's manufacture. D and H are also Cat dealers and a Cat truck is in the fleet. Jim
  24. Without getting the info based on your truck's serial number and running it, don't know for sure. Buuut......in 1971, it should be a Mack rear axle and gear. There should be a tag or numbers stamped into the housing to say what is in there now and what ratio it has. Take some pictures of this rig and get the serial number and post it here so we can see what you are working on. Jim
