  1. I used 1/4 plastic air brake line for my oil presure line hadnt had any problems. Ron
  2. One time i installed the wrong gasket on the block one time and had low PSI. i dont know how many differant gaskets they make.
  3. I bet you have 3.87 if you can run close to 68-70 mph, 4.17 and 3.87 were common that era.
  4. I have never seen 3.54 in an older R model, if you have 3.54 already installing 4.17 would be slower. i have a B61 with 300+ 13 speed overdrive roadranger 3.87 on hi tread 11-22.5 running 2200rpm will run 80 mph. what transmission do you have in it, tire size. Ron

  8. Are you sure you have a 300,the 685 was a 237. the 686 was a 285-300. maybe someone changed the engine,the 85 300 had a charge air cooler in front of the raditor, if it is a 237 the rods may not be heavy enought for 350hp. Ron

About 3-4 years ago i told you guys about a B model crewcab for sale. well it is back in the paper. 1956 B30P (whatever the P means)it says cab only but the pictures shows it is all there, from the bumper to the back of the cab in exc. con. orignal paint, serial# 3056 $7500. the phone # 812 527-2339 Greensburg,IN. the guy was wanting #11000 last time it was in the paper. dont ask me to post a picture i am a dummy on this thing, you might go to Indiana Auto& Rv it is in this weeks A magazine.   14. I put a pressure guage on it would not move,pulled the waterpump today the plastic impeller was just spinning in the shaft. do they make a waterpump for a bigcam 1 thats got a castiron impeller or are they all plastic. Thanks for you guys help. Ron
  15. Case construction equipment and CASE-IH tractors has been using Cummins for a few years.
  16. I used a big draglink socket and rounded the corners to fit the plugs. you might have to heat around the plug to get it to move. Ron
  17. An F-712st is a 315hp so i would say a RS-612 is a 315hp also. Ron
  18. If you like B Models you would enjoy going to Macungie,PA over fathers day weekend, great show 500-600(maybe more) trucks you wont be disapointed. Ron
  19. I have a 72 R Model dose the same thing, replaced the dash valve still leaks im thinking it is a double checkvalve down by the foot valve. dont use the truck much anymore will find out this summer.

  22. About 4 months ago there was a guy on this site in the Hudson Valley of NY state had a white 78 F- model 237 5 speed single axle (was a tandem)for sale for $3200 then i saw it listed later for $2800 it looked pretty decent. the phone # 845 883-5287 his name is Mike. Ron
  23. The water is not circulateing through the heater core. i will see if it has an air pocket,maybe put a pressure gauge on it like theakerstwo said.i just thought the bottom should atleast be warm after driving 10 miles but it was cold and top was hot with the gauge saying 180 Thanks Ron
  24. I was wandering if Mack made anymore KT spected Superliners, 1 is all i ever seen. wander if they put any KTA 525 or 600 hp cummins in them, those big 1150 CID cummins sounds alot differant than the 855 CID.
