  1. Rob why did the early to mid 70s V8s have the Farr air cleaner, did they flow more air than the donaldson. Ron

A farmer had one sitting in a barnlot for sale about 15 miles from me about 2 weeks ago. it was pea green, tandem axle on newway air ride with Mack 4.17 rears. i think it was an 85 but could be newer with 350 4 valve head dont know if it was a 9 or 10 speed Mack. they had $8000 on it i had the phone# but misplaced it, if intersted i will go over there and get the information for you.   5. it doesent hurt to clean the magnet in the bottom of the power divider and refill with gear oil. Ron

  9. Mine has all the gauges in the dash plus the 4 temp. gauges in the middle.

There is Mike Gill Auto-Truck Parts in Warsaw,IN phone # 574 267-8086 that has an older R-600 dont know what year but has the clutch that goes thru the floor, single axle with a grain bed, non turbo i think is a 711, triplex, floor has some rust, the truck was complete last time i saw it. they have a lot of older trucks some complete. they are closed on saturday. I have bought a few Mack parts from him in the past, real nice guy to deal with. its been a while since i have been there maybe (3-4) years. i live about 75-100 miles from there. last time i was there the yard was kinda bare. i guess i will have to make it over there to see what new he has. The 2 RS700Ls i bought are titled as 1973s and has the tempture gauges for the trans, engine oil, front and rear diff. the one was built october of 72 has a steel dash, small back ,green interior it has the tempture gauges in the middle but they are not angled. the other has big cab, tan interior was built in 73. Ron

  16. I forgot the E it was a GS1100E. i had the head ported, bigger pistons, polished crankshaft, undercut transmission, 40mm Mikuni raidial flatslide carbs 6" over swingarm, and a rear slick, i ran it on the street for 15 years. ran low 9s at 140mph in the quarter mile. Ron
  17. I always liked the factory paint stripes on the older trucks they had more class than the new ones. Ron
  18. I had a 81 GS1100 SUZUKI i had it built up, that thing was very fast, got rid of it so i could buy my B model. i am having just as much fun with my truck. Ron

  20. Thanks for the reply i was looking for a set for a Superliner with a sleeper. you are right about the stacks it makes those Superliner look good. i saw your truck at the Superliner convetion at Roger Gerharts last year good looking truck. Ron

  23. Rod, R-conventional cab, 6-model series, S-steel frame , 11-ET673engine ,L-lightweight componets, ST-six wheel tractor. i got this from a Mack highway model identification pamplet. Ron
  24. It looks like it could be a 300 - 300+ or early 350, it has a two stage charge air cooler, you can see the coolant lines on the water pump housing and the front of the oil cooler. Ron
  25. Good looking Macks, it is hard to belive an old 672cid 285hp would move somthing that big. i guess you picked the right kind of truck, you dont need 500-600hp engine. the Mack has done its dutys well. Ron
