  1. Paul what size Cummins in the Studebaker ? I have read several Studebaker Truck Brochures but never saw the Cummins as an option. Those Studies with Detroits bring good money,I cannot imagine what a factory installed Cummins would bring. Thanks for the information. I would like to see the engine room on that Stude. Joe D.
  2. Studebaker looks like it was fitted with a 4-53 Detroit. Smaller models had 3-53 Detroits. Joe D.
  3. Jim Thanks for the picture and info. I remember the Ebay Auction with this truck and tanker trailer. They also auctioned off a nice Corbitt tandem Cummins powered. Thanks Joe D.
  4. Wasn't the 250 HP. 673 first avaible in the R and DM Series ? Thanks Joe D.
  5. END 673-C was rated 187 HP 527 lbs. of torque. Pretty sure the most HP from a 673 in a B-Model was 211 HP ENDT 673 605 lb. of torque..Joe D.
  6. I believe it is a Dart. detroit Diesel powered. Joe D.
  7. Bad Dog No he did not say anything about where it originally came from.Joe D.

  9. Nice pictures Thanks. Vlad the light green and black fender B-61 gets around. I was in florida this winter and stopped at "Old Town Kississimee" Car Show which is near Orlando that is held every Saturday night and saw the B-61 in the show. I talked to the owner nice guy and he drives it down to Florida for the winter. Joe D.
  10. For the U.S.Navy from the 1-71 up to the 16-278A they certainly helped the War effort. Most of the small boats and Landing Craft were powered by the 71 Series General Motors Diesel ,Diesel Subs, Sub Chasers,Destroyer Escorts,Tugs Patrol Craft were the main propulsion for a lot of these ships and auxiliary generators on aircraft Carriers. They certainly moved a lot of freight.Powered heavy equipment, generators and the list goes on. On a lighter note they kept the Kitty Litter and oil supply jobbers in business. Joe D.
  11. Blondie with a black bottom. Joe D.
  12. other dog I think the Blondie is looking for the Cherry she lost awhile back. No big deal I heard they will grow back. Joe D.
  13. I cannot see why extended oil service intervals had anything to do with rough running or low boost pressure. IIf you want to have extended service interval on oil and oil filters fine. Just make sure you service fuel filters on regular basis. It sounds like if a simple problem plugged fuel filters or bad fuel or fuel line. Good Luck .Joe D.
  14. 41chevy I think you should run for President and have Dr. Ben Carson as your Vice-President. That would be a pair you could not beat with a full house. Sadly the masses listen to the Liberals and Socialists and cannot see that the free spending money has to come from somewhere the working man or woman. Joe D.
  15. No I know Ray and his Father great guys. From the pictures I saw it looks good. Best of luck to you. Are you bringing it to the Brockway Show In Cortland in august ?
  16. It could be he is mixed up with Intercourse,Skinners Eddy, or Blue Ball all in Pennsylvania.
  17. Nice pictures Tom. Bulldogboy fat chance of "Dukes of Hazard" getting remade. I heard they are going to quit selling anything to do with it. Thanks Joe D.
  18. There was a freight outfit from upstate NY that ran quite a few of them maybe Red Star was the fleet. No idea where they all went to but disappeared of the face of the earth. Joe D.
  19. Are you the new owner of the yellow bird ? Nice truck. Joe D.
  20. Joemac nice firetruck. With the 2 cycle Detroits 53-71 series they recommend low ash straight weight oils 40 weight for warm weather is recommended. Delo 100 is good for 2 cycle Detroits if you can find it. There are a few other brands that work well also. I will try to find the brands. Detroits with the stamped valve covers are prone to leaking. If you can find a set of the cast aluminum they stay dry. Good Luck. Joe D.
