  3. You do not the hi-lo like a splitter. If off road used proper low range gear, when on pavement put range in direct and shift the main 1-2-3-4-5 in that order. terry

  6. I once had a DM dump had a 285 hp, with the overdrive 12 speed and 4.17 rears had the pump turned to run up to 2300 if I wanted, it could bury the 80 MPH speedometer! It was a real sleeper. terry

  8. They used a single or double disk push clutch or double disk pull clutch. terry
  9. I have seen thrust washers come out and you get a whole bunch of end play, and you do not need a dial indicator to tell if something is way out of limits, get a pry bar and get under and start checking yourself! terry
  10. E6 is the older style dry liner block with the 4 valve head, e7 is wet liner block with 4 valve head. terry

  15. That looks like maybe a 12,000 lb. axle, the 18 or 20,000 axle has kind of a s curve there. terry
