    Same thing for me Geoff, learned driving dump trucks in the service, 67,68,69, got my first dump truck about “72” got a letter from the state of iowa when cdl’s were starting, that i could self certify the driving, but i think i had to do a written test. Terry

    That’s probably a x107 six speed, auxiliary goes in direct and just shift the five speed, reverse is on the auxiliary stick, a bullet proof transmission. Terry

    Just a slight leak will keep it from building air.

    Once had a 237 engine when you backed out of it sounded like bongo drums out the exhaust, exhaust seat was loose, you could tell be the carbon around the seat, ran a long time like that. But it could be one of those things that could let go at anytime. terry

    I ran a single disc organic clutch behind a 237 for years, never had a problem, but i was the only driver. terry

    I think them three holes on the side were for handbrake bracket. terry

    Can you put a oversized pin, and weld on the shift ball and round it down and smooth it, i have done that in the past. Terry.

    Regrooving tires is like the present day so called mechanics, can’t rebuild nothing, just replace the whole item! terry

    EN is engine, D is diesel, L is light weight, flywheel housing , intake manifold, maybe another irtem or two. terry
