  1. Cool! Just a bit bigger than a 4x4 to drive in a city.
  2. Nice meet, guys! Now I suppose Ken will be seen riding on two wheels soon in hopes to meet the red RW by the way
  3. Wow! Apples seem to me as my dream now!
  4. Hell, I haven't notice the radio! Looks like in very good shape. Just the paint is faded a bit.
  5. It doesnt't look bad at all but not my cup of tea. Alot of job though. BTW don't you have good photo's of the dark gray R-model that stands aside to the B ?
  6. What a nice little baby!!
  7. Ufff... Looks like something new. Hope it will get wide use in the nearest future if really brings multiple advantages. And as a follow the cost drop. We'll see.
  8. That's pretty interesting, thanks. I have never heard about it, true. Although I'm not a professional welder. Just a mechanical engeneer. Should add either, I'm happy to be a part of this society. The source of knowledge and the opportunity to see many things from different (of my local one) point of view.
  9. Looks like there's planty of other interesting Macks at that place if you check out the last pic.
  10. What's the way of getting hydrogen into welded steel? I suppose the only source of hydrogen is water vapors air conteins. Is hydrogen being taking from air humidity by electric plasma of a welder? And presents in amounts enough to increase welded material's brittlement? Sounds a bit doubtful and I have never heard about that. Oxigen conteined in air is almost another story.
  11. From what I see the black Mack COE has good solid cab. The chassis looks like from another truck. Nice restored Autocar you catched up the picture of. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Mike, nice to see life in your neighbourhood.
  13. Very reasonable conclusion. Alot of people try to do complicate trades hoping to get some extra's on every step or just spend time in hopes to fix a truck they have by themself (some day). The results of that kind are well-known to the most of us. Sometimes it worth to forget about some expences or loss of potential incomes we would (??) get along long and braided deals to just get things done instead.
  14. I'm not ready to tell you is the hood hinge setup the same (too maybe not) but at least left top corner of a RD cab has different shape to accomodate newer hood.
  15. Currently I have 9.02's so 7.00 would work. I hope to get something like 6.50 though but you can imagine that finding out insn't a pretty easy deal being at my place.
  16. You sure need if you're going to check out the face side..
  17. I was about falling in love with that thing having not seen such ones before. Thank you for sharing.
  18. If that H model Mack still do its normal work it seems very impressive to me.
  19. Have you picked up those carriers?
  20. Wonder the number of paint cans they used to re-fresh the look of that animal. And if you have another one in your collection it could be easily put on that bed to go to a show !
  21. Looks like those Hollywood folks make high quality product. I would suppose to see just cardboard replicas of such vintage signs and so on.
  22. If you make some pictures and post them on here some answers show up very quick.
  23. Kevin, these facts are pretty interesting, as usual. Although they initiate a new question from my side. You stated that the hood supplier was changed in 1990 and pre-date hoods were gray. That doesn't corellate with at least two R-model hoods I have. Both trucks were built in 1988 and both hoods show black (dark gray) gel coat under primer. They sure could be swapped later. Any other reason?
  24. I suppose it's better to have some holes just because they are unplugged than from ice cracks. Warm garage is sure nice to use but sometimes we might just "forget about something". For instance that some temp at some time dropped down for more 3-5 degree than we used to keep in mind. Cool truck you have
