Remember, several brands of batteries may be built by one company (example East Penn), does not mean they are built to the same specs. My batteries are Bulldog brand (Willoughby, OH)(no idea who made them)(these are NOT MACK Bulldog batteries) that I bought in 2011 and so far so good (keep a battery maintainer on them October thru April).

Good lookin' fire truck. I don't think the mirrors are original since that style came in the late 60s or early 70s. I think GM was the first to use that style on their pickups. I agree, not many can say they own a fire truck.

A 9'-10' stake bed may look okay. You could put a goose neck fifth wheel hitch on it or build a receiver hitch like Leslie (Leversole) did. -
Enjoy seeing pics of OZ Macks. Those quad headlights are starting to look nice. Definitely better looking than the single rectangular headlights on the late RDs.

Heard the "deer whistles" have been pulled off the market - DON'T work! I think people sued the company and they went out of business. Tests proved the noise they produce (or don't produce) cannot be heard above the vehicle/engine noise.

I still have all of my CBs, one is a 23 channel (can't remember the brand) that I bought in 1975. I think the first 40 channel I bought was a President Honest Abe which is still "somewhere". When I lived in Illinois I had a Cobra base station at the house. I have a new Cobra 29 that I will eventually install in the MH. I still remember my FCC CB call number. This is KZX.... the ole throttle jockey...we be gone bye bye.
