  1. :twothumbsup:You are right National had a ton of those F models both both 80 and 50 inch BBC. I don't think they have had Mack since. Maybe some cruiseliners.
  2. One of the Mack executives of that time said that he thought the LT was the finest west coast truck of the time. I guess Paccar wasn't paying attention.
  3. I was going to my grand daughters Ice skating show in Granby Ct on 10 and 202 heading towards Simsbury and ought of the corner of my eye I saw a bunch of Mack dumps. on the left. Anybody know anything about them. I didn't have time to go back and look.
  4. That brings up an interesting question. Who Made the first tilt COE. And what was the first tlit for each manufacturer
  5. Couldn't get the edit function to work. There are over 100 photos of new Macks. The first one shows a high rise Titan. There is a real sharp green heavy haul Titan towards the end. Enjoy
  6. There is an interesting Mack site up in Canada called Nanaimo Mack. They have a drilldown that shoes pictures of all there customers new Macks. Quite a few Titans.
  7. Those cornbinders were as high as the cherry pickers.
  8. It is obvious that mack always took care of the engineering side of the house but they wern't paying attention to the buisiness side. Like White they over extended and ran out of cash flow during tough times.
  9. You mean the days when the driver would stand out on the running board with the door open to cool off when pulling a hill in the summer time at 15mph.
  10. Sounds like logtruckerman should become a Mack salesman and hire KS to spec out the trucks and then sell them to Bullhusk. Just a thought. LOL
  11. If you want to go through the hassle add a couple of cans of oil flush(risolene or equivilant) then drain. Repeat until oil is clean, You should. pull the pan and clean the screen and sump, Fill with 15W40 detergent oil as others have said. As stated above the newer detergent oils are far superior to non detergent oils. However it is more of a hassle and a little more expensive. Good luck.
  12. Probably go through 10 pickup plows and that black and silver r will still be working.
  13. Vision: You have 10 times the talent of that clown to bad you don't have his scratch $$
  14. Nice article on the Brown/Corbits. I had no idea why AT had them. All I ever saw for AT were White 9000's with the Acar cabs. I can still see one in my mind winding up a steep curved grade in PA doing a wopping 20 mph. No flashers then.
  15. Well let me see. If you are not in the market segment at all does that mean your not making any money in that segmant
  16. Would that be a picture of a blue national freight F model? NFI no longer Mack unfortunately
  17. Below is a link to a history of Macks financial history. This is different from the Mack website version. Interesting reading. http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/mack-trucks-inc-history/
  18. We know Volvo has Mack on a short leash in the USA and elseware except maybee Australia. I am wondering what the relationship is between Renault and Volvo. Seems like Renault would have more independence than Mack.
  19. .006 seems a little sloppy. The other mains might even be worse. I believe some of the newer cars are in the .oo1 range.
  20. As I remember Wilson bought a couple hundred of those u's and then went toes up shortly after.
