  1. I thought one of the Mack books showed a picture of that with a mixer on it.
  2. Those look better than the one in the movie. Look new actually. I love the numbering system. I think the one in the movie might have been the for runner of these since the movie was 1968 I believe.
  3. Right time frame. This one looked like an R600.
  4. Northwest die cast( website and face book). Says that first gear replicas is coming out with new sleeper R Models in Mack colors in November time frame. Models can be seen on face book Northwest die cast.

  5. That chevy was a surprise. I thought it was going to be a DM 800. Nice truck.
  6. This did look like a mine truck. Be very careful there is a naked lady swimming in the movie. May want to be sitting down. Down under.
  7. KS Go Oskosh/Go Navistar(minus the aggressor Volkswagon)----(Go Mack -Eaton- Allison -Hendrickson)
  8. Mack Canada good job. Are these mostly construction.
  9. Good idea that green one may abduct her.
  10. Paul: Maybe you know. Saw a movie the other day called walkabout from about 1968. Was about a girl and her brother wandering around in the outback. In it they showed an R model tipper with a couple of belly dumps. On the front bumper it said left hand drive and the driver was on the left side. I guess Mack had some left hand drive trucks at one time in Aussieville. Were these imports or Aussie builds. If Aussie builds do they still make any left hand drives. If so they would be ripe for export. Trident Superliner? Wish full thinking maybe. Just started following this thread. Glad I did. Great job.
  11. Is Renault keeping Volvo global truck sales afloat?
  12. We have come a long way from checking the fluids and kicking the tires.
  13. Keep info like this comming.
  14. Another four that got away America Freightliner, Western star Detroit and Thomas.
  15. Black dog from another Connetikun. Nice catch.
  16. I like it fjh. Tell it like it is.
  17. Are there exemptions for EPA regs on fire service vehicles or engine exhaust defeat options. It seems that for fire service you wouldn't want de rates or shutdowns due to EPA regs. Seems like for fire service you would want to keep every thing as simple as possible.
  18. May bee a dream but wouldn't it be nice if Volvo pulled out of North America and sold Mack to Scania. Then maybe we could import the Trident or Superliner along with the Scania V8 and the Mack Scania relationship of the past could be reborn. KS I love the time line history of the CH to the Anthem. So true.
  19. VW jaws are opening wider and wider, with tongue hanging out and drooling for the final chomp. Only Donald can save Navistar from it self. IMHO
  20. Would be interesting to see how this line up offering stacks up to Navistar/Volvo/Pete/KW/Shaker and Western Star in a side by side comparison.
  21. Storkmack. What about the new Pinnacle(CHU)(new interior) with choice of MP7/8 - Allison, M-Drive or Mack manual and new truck warantee. Just a thought
  22. Still can't see why you can't order a Mack truck without a drive train. Call it a glider or a truck without a drive train. (Whatever) . As its coming down the line put the rear of the frame on the robot dollies and drive it out the door. Not that hard! Like the diet commercial Nutra-System says " You eat the food you loose the weight. Its not that hard"! Volvo should allow Mack to have that autonomy. Why should Volvo care? As small as the glider market is this shouldn't disrupt the factory assembly line that much. After all different models and chassis run down the same line.
  23. Saw a Manafort T880 KW dump today in Portland CT to go with the T880 tractor I saw previously. not a bad looking truck really. Looks like they are dropping tan and brown color scheme and going all brown.
  24. Stork. End of the line for Macks?
  25. Sokolowski and Sid Kamp are on the same page color wise.
