  1. Nothing beats a parking lot full of Macks except maybe a junkyard full of free Macks.
  2. Why would clents not want their truck purchases known. They will eventually be seen out working the roads.
  3. From another sight (Hanks) Pitt-Ohio's new pinnacles with MP-7's are averaging 8 miles per gallon. That is am maze ing.
  4. 3P. It would be nice if Roy Earnst could be there that day for an interview. He probably knows Mack history better than just about anybody. My wife and I had him as a tour guide. As I remember he started in the paint booth and worked his way up to management. This WW2 pilot was 85 years old last year when we took the factory tour and he was sharp as a tack. National Geographic ought to do a story on him.
  5. Love those B's with the external radiator and horizontal shutters! What is the drive train setup.
  6. I only see peterbilts and IH's in New England. I would guess all there R models are gone.
  7. Those white flathead gasers were the coolest sounding gas engines I ever heard. They had a really throaty ocilating sound when starting up from a dead stop with a full load. Sounded much better than the Mack gasers. The IH red dimond 450's were a close second. Spector freight out of the midwest had a whole heard of White 3000's with Cummins diesels and the radiators in the back. The good old days when trucks sounded like trucks.
  8. I went to the Brockway web sight and found the seven pictures of the Brockway Superliner. I don't see any resemblance at all to the Mack Superliner except for the CA47 cab. Maybee I am looking at the wrong prototype. I must admit that it seems as though Mack may have pilfered the Superliner name. Then again Mack used the liner term long before Brockway. They used to call the early H models highliners. I think the liner term even preceded freightliner.
  9. Explain how the Superliner started as an idea from Brockway. The picture Iv'e seen of the prototype Brockway looks nothing like the Superliner. Mack already had a long nose conventionals prior to superliner. Aka LT/B-71/73/R-700.
  10. Question. You said you will look through it when you get a chance. Is the public allowed to look through records at the museum?
  11. I believe Eaton used to make the Mack rear ends to Mack specs. Who makes them now? Also who makes the suspensions and cornerstone frames.Volvo probably makes the advantage frames
  12. IMHO The tricked out Pinnacle is the best looking truck on the road. Question can the grill with the large Mack letters still be purchased factory/aftermarket?
  13. 5.8 seems like great mileage considering the weight and the hills. It would seem that the MH would get less mpg considering the frontal area.
  14. I thought the Mack Museum moved to a new location. When I visited there last year it was in a small cramped area.
  15. Kind of interesting how the Cruiseliner grill fits perfectly between the vents.
  16. Who made the MH cab? The L cab the H cab the B cab-Chicago manufacturing? the G cab the M cab the F and R cabs the N cab-Budd the MR cab the cruiseliner cab the CH cab-Mayflower
  17. The Mack website says the Granite is the # 1 selling class 8 straight truck chasis.
  18. Just being nosey. What types of topics are on the corporate and dealer forum that are off limits to others on the forum.
  19. Would seem like the Mack mayflower cab will be sticking around for while. Doesn't seem like they would go to the trouble of mating sleepers to the granite and maybee titan if the cab was going to be volvoized. Can't wait to see the new Superliner comming out April first(hint hint). Surely Grrrrrhd knows something about it.
  20. I'll try my darndest not to get sucked in this year.
  21. I believe many of the old B models had triple frames. Would have come in handy in this sitiation.
  22. It is all part of the new world order plan and our traitorous politicians are in on it and have been for a long time. At the very least they should be put away for life. We have one more chance to stop this movement in 2012. Throw the bums out(democrats/socialists/communists rhino republicans
  23. They are set to unveil their new construction truck at the construction expo. Saw a video of it somewhere. Maybee the cat site. Looks like a paystar clone to be sold through cat dealers.
