  1. What is it when you guys are looking at some picture and commenting on it and I don't see anything. Maybee Rob playing with our heads?
  2. Vlad: Keep checking in there are plenty of peeps on here that can educate you on macks.
  3. She would make a great winter cover.
  4. Politics is probably the key. As I said it is not rocket science v#$%o. I think with a few simple additions at Mack they would outsell V---- in the US. V---- get over it, you outsell Mack almost every where else. Take the shackles of of Mack product development and let the competion begin.
  5. Vinny to bad you didn't grow up thru the late 60's 70's and early 80's. The dang U-things were all over except on the West Coast. I got to grow up through L's,B's U's R's DM's G's H's,W's,MH's,Westerns and the current crop, which is finnally improving after that South Carolina Virginia fiasco. Sorry to get carried away I forgot this was a rodeo sex topic. Oh well at my age Mack's are better than sex.
  6. Probably a pete chasis. Looks like pete fuel tanks. I'd like to see more of these though not on a pete chasis. Put this on a CH chasis and you may start a trend. I would think there would be money cross breeding LT's/B's and R's onto a CH chasis.
  7. Mack Superliner Austrailia offers MP10 600 & 685 HP and Cummins 550 & 600 HP. Wake up and smell the coffee Mack America (V@*&o). Let the Superliner compete against Paccar, Navistar,Western Star and Freightliner. We've got no one in the game. It's not rocket science V@*&o.
  8. Mack is close to outselling volvo as it is. If they had the return of the Superliner and a competative medium duty they would probably leave the parent company in the dust. Don't think volvo would like that.
  9. Galasso excavating in East Granby ct has 2 or 3 MR dumps along with there CL's and kenworths. They don't appear to be buying any more though. Most recent purchases were unfortunately T-800's.
  10. welcome aboard. When is the west springfield show. is it at the eastern states expo?
  11. Those Quality Carriers CH's have nice long wheel bases. Are they getting sleepers. Should ride nice. Not an app for camel backs I presume.b
  12. Vinny. Here you get an education on Macks of all stripes with a little cummins, cat, and detroit thrown in and an occasional A-car and brock way. Verboten V---o Pac--r. Tell your uncle Rob the only way you will pinch him on the behind is with a pair of Vice Grips
  13. The Titan will never be what Mack heavy haul was in the past(LRS/M) for that matter it will never be(thanks to Volvo)what KW/Hayes is today. KW has that market sowed up to bad. Mack owned Hayes at one time but couldn't make it go. It would be nice if Volvo Mack bought the remanents of Pacific truck in Canada. They still do rebuilds and restorations and have all of the original rights to Pacific parts and engineering drawings. I think they have some relationship with Mack as far as rebuilding older Canadian Mack heavy haul units and converting newer Mack's to twin steer for the Canadian market. I guess the best Mack can hope for is competeing with Western Star for the light heavy haul market.
  14. 2stick I am going up to look at a piece of land in huntington ma today. Gods country.
  15. Are any going to UPS Freight?
  16. whats all the fuss the B fit in there just fine
  17. Vinny did you check out that u-700 brochure. Cool. Roadway had a ton of those with v-8 detroits. St Johnsbury had a ton of u-600 with cummins v-903's which was funny. The v-8's usually required the higher u-700 cab. If I remember the V-903's were 90 degree v-8's which gave them a lower profile. The detroit and mack v-8's must have had a higher profile. I think the detroits wer about 60 degrees. The mack 865/866 must have been less than 90 degrees thus the higher profile u-700 was required.
  18. Aw shucks. come on John stick around. I also view the other playgrounds and Watts is like kindergarten when it comes to negativity.
  19. Vinny If you want to see some pictures of U-models still working go to hank's truck pictures and look up David Fraust pictures. Then look up NEMF New England Motor Freight. They still have several U models and R models still in operation. I just saw a twin screw R model in Ct about a month ago.
  20. BCR- Hydraulic brakes-20 tons-401/534 gaser-2 sticks-manual steering! Now that was a truck driver. Lucky it was flat land Illinois. May of had difficulty in the 200 foot mountains of Rocford though.
  21. Bullhusk you forgot the 100,000 Italian dump truck companies Palumbo/Celli/Bongi/Gerosa etc etc etc
  22. Speaking of Vinny- Vinny take a look at Hanks truck web site and look up the last seven day entries. Then under David Frost df NEMF. There are U-models featured 8727/8729 and 8079. Just about a month ago I saw a NEMF R model twin screw in Ct.
  23. I remember Celli when I was a kid back in Wheeling Illinois. They had 10 wheel dumps both B-42 gasers and B-61's. They had numerous B-61 tractor dumps. I moved out of Illinois before they bought the R models but would see them when I went back to Ill for a visit. One day after moving to Ct I saw a CTC cement trailer pulled by a dark green peterbilt. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a Mack. Is Gene in the picture a Celli. Did he own CTC. Amazing that a 90 year old shows up to work every day. Looks like the picture on the wall is a CH. Did Celli have CH's before being sold? I went to the Markedy web sight and I still saw green and grey visions or pinnacles with cement trailers. I always thought the green and grey with red pin striping was a good color combo.
