  1. Gross weight. Empty tare was 18,550 KG. Loads are 40 to 50 tonne. That truck pulls like it's not even loaded. But you know it when you need to slow down or stop, LOL
  2. Well today was going to be the day. They needed an extra driver and asked if I wanted to do it. Then they said I could take the Superliner!! I had it fired up, went to do my pre-trip, and discovered it had a flat. So not all bad. I got a CL with an E9 500 V8. It was so nice to drive something with a throttle linkage and instant throttle response again! And to be able to turn out onto this hill at the bottom, grossing 150,000 pounds on a tandem! and UPSHIFT all the way up into 2nd gear in high range, putting a cloud of coal into the atmosphere with every upshift!!!! And surprisingly it rode very smooth even with solid rear walking beams and big springs with rubber blocks in the steer axle.
  3. My friend got hired to have his Mack titan log truck in a movie they shot where we live. He wasted a bunch of time there.....then in the end they never paid him!
  4. Nice score though. I have never seen those before. Be interesting to know the history.....if they were one off's or offered through Mack merchandise.
  5. Oh ok......I thought maybe they were available somewhere in Ontario here. Thanks.
  6. Ya, hopefully he is just busy with something positive in his life. The news thread isn't the same without him.
  7. Where did you find those Alex?
  8. That looks a lot like a Pacific and a Scott. As far as the newer cabovers, they like a lot like a K100 other than the grill. That's what I see anyway.
  9. You haven't seen the new KW W990 or Mack Anthem? LOL
  10. Bahahahaha. Found this on Google Images, LOL
  11. Well that was different Red Horse, LOL Pretty unusual opportunity. Nice Bronco he has.
  12. 1968 Bronco Shelby GT500.
  13. That's holy grail right there! LOL E9 500 V8 and 65,000 Mack rears.
  14. I just didn't appreciate them back then Mackey58. The mechanically governed Mack motors were all I ever wanted to run. I didn't care for anything else, LOL Now when it comes to the electronic age......I don't want anything but a 3406E/C15.
  15. Sorry, my earliest is 1980.
  16. Anyone that hates Trump.....I'll trade you for our @#$%
  17. There were quite a few Cat powered Superliners here in northern Ontario. And Cat powered CL's also. Main reasons were there being a big network of Cat dealers and many of these companies also had Cat equipment, so they liked to standardize parts. I also drove one. It was pretty sweet looking. 425 Cat, 15 speed overdrive, double frame, heavy axles with spring over walking beams, flat top bunk, dual breathers and exhaust. Wish I had pics of it. Pulled a 5 axle Raglan Hydra-Glide dump trailer with it.
  18. LOL Alex, can you believe all the highways from the Sault to White River and Hornepayne were already closed today and transports crashed. Unreal. This new breed of people suck.
  19. Currently here at work.
  20. I'll say it again, wish a Trump would take over Canada too. So much for free speech eh? They only allow you to see what "they" want you to see and hear.
  21. Ya, I have never seen that dampener before.
  22. I liked spokes. As long as you keep good wedges and spacers on them. Plus I know how to balance them so they run straight.
  23. This probably don't count because it's an off road truck, but 4900 glider with a 550 Cat and 65,000 Mack rears on Mack solid trunion walking beams.
