  1. Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all have a better new year.
  2. Unfortunately no. He sold the truck a few years ago. But he did take the RD sloped hood off and put a classic R hood on it.
  3. I hope he will be back too. I enjoyed talking to him. The news ain't the same without him.
  4. Yes. Had a friend that did just that. Wanted his RD to look like an older R model.
  5. Congrats! You made a good purchase there. Can't wait to see more of it. I hope it's a good truck for you.
  6. How can I hit the like button 10 tens! That is sweet. Is the front tire low or is it where he is parked?
  7. Not hard to see why when both our governments are trying their hardest to screw over the working man while the rest get a free ride.
  8. Just an observation. I am also a member of a few compact tractor forums, as that is my other hobby. Even before this covid came to be, I noticed that as soon as the economy took a downturn, everyone on those tractor forums went on attack mode. Anytime someone new to tractors would ask a valid question due to them not knowing tractors, members would jump on them like they were an idiot and go into full attack mode, instead of being helpful. I even quit posting just because it was getting to the point that every response other people on the forums was getting was some cocky ignorant remark. I also noticed another cycle, that every year around Christmas, members got to their worst attitudes. Is it just a financial/economy stress causing people to go off the deep end??
  9. I had a sweater with a beautiful Cruiseliner put on it when I was a kid. From one of those many tee-shirt shops that used to be around back in the day where they had hundreds of pics to choose from. But I wore that one out.
  10. Nice shed Other Dog! As others have said, just pay attention to anything changing while taking the Prednisone. I'm not allergic to many things.....but I had a reaction to that stuff. Got sores, kinda like cankers all over in my mouth and gums and a bad case of the squirts out the bottom end. Then had to take another med to "firm" me back up, LOL
  11. This is the reason why I believe there is no quality drivers any more Alex. Just as you said.....our older generations you rode around as a kid with real professionals and you learned until you were old enough to go get a license. We truly WANTED to be drivers and we strived to be the best we could. This doesn't seem to be the norm any more.
  12. They started this mandatory driver training in Canada where you can only get a commercial license by paying huge money to go to a truck driving school. Complete BS. I sent letters and had discussions with our MTO on this matter when it was open for comments. I can guarantee you I am more qualified to train my kids if I wanted to, then many many of the teachers at these truck driving schools. They know damn well who these people and schools are that hand out licenses. Yet instead of going after them, they again punish the professionals of the industry. And besides that.....isn't this is what the driving test is for??? Why should it matter if an 8 to 10 thousand dollar school taught you.....as long as you pass your test. And then there's the politics. I have a friend that teaches at a truck driving school and he has told me there has been times he has failed students because they could not demonstrate the skills to drive truck......only to have his bosses tell him that someone from the government/unemployment insurance called and said "you pass that guy and get him off EI not matter what." That's the problem with this industry. The people that have been owners and drivers for well over 30 years, accident free, and take pride in what they do have ZERO say. Luckily I had BANNED my kids from getting a commercial license and forbid them from trucking, so they went on to find better careers that pay. And myself after many years of accident free driving has walked away from the industry also, because I can't stomach this stupidity any more. I now have a job where carrying my coffee cup makes me as much money as owning a two hundred thousand dollar truck. What is wrong with that picture??????
  13. Now that's a REAL truck! Thanks for the pics. Good luck.....hope you get her home.
  14. Very nice pics Quickfarms. How's the F800 to drive empty? I eneded up buying a new F150 because my F550 was punishing me on the highway empty, LOL I just keep it for my in-town truck now. Bummer that that fuel filter failed. What caused that?
  15. Can't wait to see this truck if you get it!!
  16. Unless they redesign something to have a bigger hood and rad to accept an X15 Cummins, don't hold you breath. They already killed the CL, Titan and MP10. They should have just kept building the CL. It would still be king. Big power, big bunk, heavy off road planetary axle truck. It did it all.
  17. Ya, I don't know how all that title stuff would work. Especially me bringing it back into Canada. Speaking of lumber....they are really gouging people now that they have this corona BS as an excuse. 2x4's have gone from $2 and change to over $7 here.
  18. No chance of still getting it? I'll trade you an F550 for it, LOL That's a good deal for a shed that size. I just found a place in Ontario Canada here that builds and delivers pre-fab sheds and garages. I was thinking about one of the barn style sheds for my tractors. But it's a tough call. I can build a bigger one for less money, but there is something to be said for a truck pulling in the yard, dropping it on the ground and other than hooking up my power...done. LOL You can see some of their pricing here: https://northcountrysheds.com/canadas-best-value-shed
  19. Very nice Quickfarms!
  20. This is all I have ever done. Throw a quart of ATF in it, take it for a good run and get it hot, then drain and change filter. I love 289's. Very good engine. Had a couple in Mustangs.
  21. Just lost me with that front bumper though. Only because I like stock.
  22. Too bad you didn't get that International Other Dog. That would have been a cool project. I'd rather have that than my F550.
  23. Someone painted the E9 V8 in the Superliner at the mine here Cat yellow. But I guess that's better than painting it like a Cummins or Detroit. LOL
  24. You felt real cool driving past pedestrians with the wheels squealing and grinding all the time.
