  1. Very nice! Those were strong tractors. Nice to see it still working. I have it's little brother....the CA.
  2. Got two places up here like that. One was a full yard of B Models, the other has probably a bunch of R's, Superliners, MH's and even a bunch of spare E9's. They wouldn't part with anything. Now it's all scrap rotted away to nothing because they had big dreams and no money.
  3. I agree. Same problem up here in Soviet Canukistan. Went to town and see street beggars on every corner with their little signs "No job, no money, need food." I'd like to end every one of their lives.
  4. Wow! A whole 15 years! What a veteran. LOL
  5. I like the grill of the Anthem. I just wish they would have kept the tasteful looking air intakes of the Pinnacle instead of those hideous screen doors they stole off someone's house that are on the Anthem hoods.
  6. Odd to see an FWD that doesn't have front drive axle.
  7. You're almost Australian now Mowerman!! LOL Now we just gotta get you 6 or 700 hundred horsepower for that Pete, LOL
  8. They look pretty similar to the Freightliner Tuff Trac. And as I just commented in another thread, I ran a Sterling and a Coronado 122SD with Tuff Trac. It rode almost as good as our air ride trucks and had better traction than air ride. Can't comment on the Volvo/Mack version, but the only Tuff Trac's I ever saw fail (and almost every dump truck around here was a Sterling with Tuff Trac) were a couple that were being grossly over loaded and pounded off road.
  9. To me, they look almost the same. There were LOTS of Sterling's around here with Tuff Trac and I ran a Sterling and a Coronado 122SD that had it. They rode really nice. Not far off from air ride, but had better traction than our air ride trucks. Lots of axle articulation and they seemed reliable. The only ones I saw fail were guys that were severely over loading their trucks.
  10. Yes, the CH was only available with the E7 Mack. The CL originally was available with E7, E9, Series 60 Detroit and 3406 Cat. Detroit disappeared (can't remember which year) and when the E9 and Cat were discontinued from them it was E7 and Signature/ISX Cummins only. I could be wrong but I think the last years of production the ONLY engine in the CL was the ISX. I'm lucky enough to have driven all versions.
  11. Start here Other Dog. Hours of entertainment, LOL https://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/forums/report-a-bad-trucking-company-here.126/
  12. I used to go on it when I still had trucks. I liked to use it for entertainment. If you want a really good laugh.....read the thread Worst Companies to Work For. You will see all kinds of funny names, broken english and people that can't complete a sentence, LOL Ever since I left the trucking industry I don't even admit to anyone that I was a truck driver or owner operator. I'm too embarrassed now.
  13. And yes, this world is full of large groups of stupid people. They are the ones running the world, because when voting time comes, they outnumber the rational thinking humans. They are the stay at home and collect handouts generation that feel entitled and were "wronged" their whole life. Too dumb to realize if they just put their big boy panties on and went to work like the rest of us, they can have what they want and have a good life.....instead of sitting around crying for handouts and retribution.
  14. Got news for you Ga_Dave, this may sting a little......but Binden don't have you best interests in mind either. None of them give two sheets about us working men.
  15. How about I send you a Trudeau? LOL
  16. And if you guys are done with Trump.....can you PLEASE send him here to take over!!!
  17. You guys aren't making me feel any better here, LOL Joey Mack, your Progressive Democrats are what we call Libtards here in Canada. The trans gender tree hugging climate change enviro-MENTALists. You know.....the ones that want equal rights, as long as their share is bigger....and their opinion is the ONLY right one. And I feel your pain Mower Man. I left my owner op/trucking life to go work in a mine with 300 or so employees. We have strict health check, mask, sanitizing and glove mandates. We have had ZERO cases. But as I have been told....if no vaccine, will be masks gloves and Q-tips to your brain for life, then when I work a week and go home for my week off......well you left the property, so now you quarantine for 14 days before you can come back. In other words...starve you out until you quit. And I love how Canada has the highest percentage of vaccinated population at over 80% but then today I here on news outbreaks are at an all time high. Remind me again why I NEED to get this vaccine???? I'd rather die of covid to get away from all this horseshit world. What do I have left? They are putting DPF's and emissions on my farm tractors now over 26 horsepower. Not the life I enjoy any more. Take all your technology and throw away JUNK and stick it up your a$$
  18. Well gentlemen, I'm particularly pissed off today. Let me start buy saying I'm not on any side, but I think this "pandemic" is way overblown and the bullshit media is fueling the fear mongering. Again, I know the virus is real, but it does not concern me. I was once diagnosed with cancer too, but I'm still hear. Not going to live my life in fear. But the final nail may have finally come. I am dead set against getting this vaccine for many reasons. Two of which are nobody knows if it is going to work or what effects it will have. Not to mention the way this whole thing has been handled has made me completely lose what little trust I had in the government. And yes I do fully believe they have some kind of agenda. But back to my point. Looks like I may have to drink the Kool Aid and get it because the job I have that pays me a ridiculous amount of money may make it mandatory. Not to mention that I can't cross the border and they are trying to make it so you can't even go in a grocery store without it. And after listening to MANY human rights and labor lawyers it looks like although an employer cannot fire you, they can most definitely starve you out to get rid of you. Says what's the mass opinion here....continue my bullheaded FTW fight or just give in and get their brain washing syrum? Talked to a doctor today and he predicts this vaccine is going to be a yearly shot, not just these tow doses. Funny how big pharma is making billions in profit now eh?
  19. Been a long time and my memory is shot, but thought I'd throw that in the mix too in case it was a separate issue. I actually learned of that fix from this site. Unfortunately it was many years after the truck was gone.
  20. Was also a bad mass ground point problem too. If I remember right it was near the left A-pillar just under the windshield? A ground bolt with a whole bunch of wires on it. My 2000 did that for years until we finally got sick of it and I got a 9900i with a Cat. It would randomly show the lightning bolt on the dash and shut down then start right back up going down the highway. And it was like a light switch. My 460 will pull along side 475 Cat's when it decided to run, then next hill you would think the clutch was slipping because it would not pull at all. Even my dealer could never figure it out. They changed ECM, wire harnesses, etc. And it turned out to be that ground.
  21. Yep, have a friend that had a Titan with an MP10 605 and was very happy with it. But then Mack discontinued both the Titan and the MP10. he now has a Star with a 600 Detroit.
  22. Best advice right here. Any new truck, get the 7 year extended warranty and get yourself on a 5 or 6 year trade/sell cycle, because year 6 will make you hate life, LOL
  23. https://www.trucknews.com/equipment/mack-trucks-celebrates-100-years-in-canada/1003150656/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=newcom&utm_campaign=TruckNewsDaily&utm_content=2021042783056 Not sure how the count is still going considering they are no longer manufactured here? But still cool I guess. A lot of cool Mack's were born here, like the CL350ST and the RD800. I still remember how cool it was to drive by the factory in Oakville and see a line of those and the big M Series haul trucks lined up along the fence.
  24. Navistar, Freightliner and Ford have nothing to worry about. They still have more cab and engine options than Paccar. Paccar has no extended cab or crew cab options, and no gasoline engines.
