I hear you. Remember a thing called the ice age and the flooding that made Noah build his ark? LOL Kinda like the same thing that is going on now except we are on the warming cycle this time. Like I said, glad I don't have many years left. The current tards that already outnumber us sane people are breeding more soon to be tard children.

Hey, I heard on the news today that the climate change nut jobs did studies that show if they bring back the giant aardvark and giant grazing dinosaurs it would be good for the environment. Well then, the government should just charge us a tax and produce them again, just like how they are going too use carbon tax to change the universe's climate. 😵 Problem solved.
-
They're going to use the same magic that they are going to use to change the world's climate by charging you a tax on cow fats.

Come on now Joey, they don't look that far ahead. What were you thinking?? LOL It just comes out of those outlets in your wall. LOL

Here comes the next hit to the supply chain. Canada to require vaccines for cross-border truck drivers, CTA warns of ‘perfect storm’ Canada will require truck drivers to be vaccinated against Covid-19 before crossing the border as of Jan. 15, building on a similar announcement already made by U.S. regulators. The news comes even as Canada prepares to ease several other travel restrictions. As of Nov. 30, for example, fully vaccinated individuals who leave and re-enter the […] read more

I can see it happening. That's why I got my vaccine against my beliefs. I'm not ready to retire yet and I have a job that is too good to chance losing. I believe it is going to get far stupider yet. And speaking of government agenda's, I had to laugh last night. Had another winter storm with some wind. And as usual the power was out for hours and hours. Just wait until 2030 when we are all supposed to being driving electric vehicles and equipment. They can't keep the power on now!! LOL How will the utilities get out to fix the power grid when they can't charge their trucks and equipment, LOL

Ya, I don't know what's going on with this world, but no point trying to figure it out because I'm just labelled as a conspiracy theorist.......that can make dimes stick to his arm, LOL (see my Nov 8th post.)

My first B model 1965 b462
Bullheaded replied to d21smith's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Very nice, though I'm kinda sad to see you remove the mixer body. I would keep it all original as is. But it's your money. -
So, my cousin's girlfriend tested positive for covid. She had all the classic symptoms..... a sore throat and a runny nose for two days. You know, kinda like a common cold. She has to stay home two weeks then she can go back to work. No retest required. Her daughter and anyone that was around her (that have no symptoms)......you must get tested, stay home a week and then you must get retested to return to work after that. Does that make any sense??? I guess if you have covid it just disappears after 10 days, LOL PS.....all are double vaccinated.

I'm very surprised by the E6 4 valve rated so low! I spent years running for a fleet pulling 140,000 pounds in the hills in R Models with 350 4V E6's. They were bulletproof and pulled good. All those trucks had the odometers rolled back past 0 two the three times in their life. I only saw one fail because they had the power cranked up so high it broke the block in half, one overheated and one or two where that bolt that holds the fuel or oil filter housing (I can't remember which now)....but it was a bolt that goes into the block and they were known for backing out and then it would pump all the oil out of the engine.

Adding a sleeper to a b model
Bullheaded replied to Mean Green's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
There was a yellow B Model I used to see at the truck show in St. Ignace every year that had a Peterbilt flat top bunk on it and it looked really good. The width matched perfect with the side stacks and the rounded corners of the Pete bunk match the shape of the B quite well. -

Here's a party trick for y'all to try. As you know I got my two vaccines (Moderna) against my will, forced by employer that pays me stupid amounts of money. Someone told me about this today, so I tried it. Take an ordinary dime and hold it to your arm where you got the needles. That dime sticks to me like a magnet only in that spot. Ya, that outta be healthy stuff to have in you.

DM engine options
Bullheaded replied to Whiskymack's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I have a Mack full line brochure from around 1980 and it shows the V8 Detroits available in the DM800. My friend had a DM800 winch tractor with a V8 Detroit. Detroit's were very popular here where I am back in the day. Was a few 2-stroke Superliners pulling logs too. -
Know what's as scary as PETA? Canada just made the ex head of Green Peace (a guy with a criminal record) our new Minister of Environment. By by fuel, internal combustion engines, factories, agriculture, mining, etc.
-
I never had a 300 six Ford, because being young at the time it wasn't as impressive as saying you had a V8......but I had friends and relatives with them and the damn things were bullertproof.

You're first post in this one sounds just like me Other Dog. When I owned my big trucks, I couldn't afford a new pickup. All my money went into the business. So I see this 2007 F550 4x4 for sale. A truck I knew, and my dream truck.....aluminum wheels, diesel, 12 foot flatbed, V-Mac underhood air compressor, 10 foot Boss vee plow. So I buy it and fix a few things and have 20 grand into it. Then I get out of trucking and get an awesome job in a gold mine. Think to myself "this F550 is the perfect truck for running 50 miles of gravel washboard bush road every week into the mine." Well, it beat the crap out of me on that rough road and broke down to the tune of a $1100 injection pressure regulator on the way home first trip. Ended up having to GIVE it away for 14 grand and went and bought a brand new F150 with warranty when employee pricing sale was on, LOL

I often look but never reply.....but you're AWSOME Otherdog!!!!! Hard to have a bad day when you read your posts, LOL

The mighty DMM
Bullheaded replied to Mandrewoid's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Sorry, I misread. You were talking about your hydraulic pump. But back in the day I remember all the old ready mix trucks used to be able to drive from the controls at the rear. What kind of system did they have for that? -

Nice truck. Up until just recently, those OWNED the ready mix market here where I am. Tandem tandem, just like that with 72 inch spread. But they tell me it is getting hard to find front drive and transfer case parts for them now?? I always wondered how that drive system worked. Back in the 70's and 80's when all the ready mix trucks were just DM tandems here, I remember they all used to be able to move with nobody in them, but I have not seen that in any of the current ready mix trucks here any more. -
Remember when Hertz Rental had special edition Shelby GT350's. Now they are getting Tesla's. Enough said.
