Original owner of my single axle Autocar told me he pulled a triaxle tank trailer with it. Later on he added a pusher though -

That cleaned up nice, been parked outside for a couple of years. -
Said goodbye today

Sold / traded in a lot of vehicles over the years just did my best to not look back. The one I really regret was selling my '70 Chevelle for the down payment on the house my ex wife lives in. -
Yeah the satin black doesn't blow up everyone's skirt but I'm partial to the hot rod look. It's going to have a lot of red and white pinstriping
-
Well I got back at it and made some progress, Plumbed the A/C and heat, made a lexan fan shroud and mounted the electric fan, painted and mounted the shutters and started to get the wiring octopus under control.

Busybody do gooders getting themselves elected to city and town councils and writing restrictive sign bylaws that make it impossible to get permits for these and also these are really expensive to build now. I did a google search and found photos of them in their natural habitats

Finally got the last of 30 signs up. Saved the biggest for the last. 2 weeks from now we get to take them all down.

That's a stock Autocar grill guard. Seems like all of them in New England had one.
-
yeah, need more room for a Yeuingling sign

Don's A-car looks so much better in that photo than these. Some idiot came up an exit ramp never looked and ran him into the median and skateboarded up the guardrail. Serious pucker factor there. If you are going to Somerset, you'll be going right by me

5th or 6th day hanging signs for the movie set. Amazing the work that goes into a few minutes on screen. My buddy in the orange shirt and sunglasses is Kevin All's nephew.

Had to use Porsche orange, closest match to original color which ain't available any more. It was her b-day present so I wanted to get it done quick.

Thanks Bob, now that I finished my wife's VW I'm going to start cranking on the truck project again. Before and after beetle photos.
-
thanks guys

After doing this for 30 years signs actually bore me but these 2 are really cool. 1950's porcelian Frigidaire and 1920's or 30's GE sign with glass faces.

The acorn nuts and adapters I can do but $400 plus for arms and blades is a killer.

1958 Mack LVX Dump Truck

Can't miss that one I'm on the board of directors for the chapter. (Actually was talked into being president fro a couple of years when we were with ATHS Bill Semple is much better at it though, now I just make the signs and park trucks). -
Made some slight progress, got the windshield wiper motor mounted and linked up, not perfect sweep but it works. Mounted a 12 volt computer fan to the defroster vent as there is no provisions for a defroster on the heat/ac unit moves air pretty good for it's size. Looking for wipers arms, the wedge shaped spacers, shaft nuts etc. for the wiper shafts. I've looked everywhere for mine but they seem to have disappeared.

Jim, was that today at the airfield? I see Paul Silvia leaning on the back tire -
Are you selling parts off the cab or the whole cab at once? Looking for windshield wiper arms, the wedge shaped spacers and the nuts for the wiper arm posts. Basically everything outside the cowl.

I used to live on Foster St about 6 houses from the bakery. Rocky Marciano grew up next street over behind Nissens and Marvin Hagler's mother lives 3 house from the bakery. Boxing neighborhood.
