I should have made patterns and started a side business. They don't look factory by any stretch of the imagination or even really professionally don't but it looks pretty good and I made them in about 3 hours for about $40 bucks in materials.

Got the back cab panel and headliner done seats in, and kickpanels with speakers made. Took truck on maiden voyage in the parking lot this morning, 6 months later than I thought I would.

Got new windshields in, really excited about that. (easily excited I guess) Got the back cab panel done, now on to the headliner. A friend of mine gave me a 50" x 100 yard vinyl about 10 years ago, did the seats in the A=car, golf cart and a few other things and hardly put a dent in it. I'll be covering everything in black vinyl for years.

Did anyone let the marketing genius that wrote this press release in on the fact that the "new" Chevy and GMC low cab forward trucks are NPRs with a different badge on the front just like they always were before the GM Isuzu hiatus? Mine says GMC on the front and on the horn button but it says Isuzu on every sticker and data plate on the truck. It seems from the article that they are suggesting it is a different truck competing with Isuzu. If you go for the gas motor you get a GM 6.0 and a GM transmission. I don't know about other areas but we have an Isuzu truck dealer within 20 miles in any direction. The best thing about this though is that while they were apart, GM dealers could get parts for the trucks but there were issues with warrantees (friend that works parts at local GMC/ Isuzu dealer told me this, I'm assuming he was right) so this should take care of that. It seems that they are saying that Chevy dealers wont work on your NPR unless you glue a bowtie to the front.

Haven't had any time to work on this for the last few months but I got a couple of things done, sound deadener, cut the carpet, had the edges bound and started on the rear interior panel. I got a nice set of seats out of a nearly new Ford Fusion for 50 bucks, I think they will work nice. Need to get a seat mounted so I can test drive it up and down the street before I paint and hang the front sheetmetal.

They used the 57-59 A series cab for these with different front sheetmetal. Same cab and interior as mine but steering wheel on the wrong side

Nice truck, 7.3 is the best way to go. 6.0 is the express lane to an empty wallet. Mechanic next door to me makes a good living doing egr coolers, head gaskets, injectors etc. on 6 liters.

Wiring about 90% taking a while but I'm getting there.
